What Do You Like/Or Dislike About Carlisle?

What a day!!!!

Doesn't matter which day of Carlisle either.

Some people are heading east and some people are heading west on the Penn Turnpike heading to the World Famous " Chrysler's at Carlisle". You will see everything Mopar on the road. Some heading pretty slow and some heading pretty fast! You will start to encounter Hemi cars (old and new) 440's, and slant 6's and everything in between. The closer you get to Carlisle the hotter Mopar fever will get. I normally don't get to Carlisle too early in the morning and I don't mind the traffic between 8 and 9 in the morning on Friday. My biggest joy is looking forward to seeing my FCBO brothers on the hallowed C Body Line. That's where I spend most of my day. I enjoy the swap area looking for the elusive and rare Formal parts. A trip through the Survivor tent and the Special Display buildings. The Car Corral usually has something stunning for sale. Evenings I'm headed to dinner somewhere and to the hotel and Saturday morning starts all over again. Usually Saturday morning sometime we will try to gather up for a FCBO group picture.

If you have never been to Carlisle....you have to go to the greatest Mopar show on the planet at least once in your lifetime. After you go the first time I bet I see you there again!

Only at the beer storez in town. Pa iz ah some what weird state for any package booze. On the groundz it'z only BYO. That'z why I bring my St. Pauli from N.C., and it ain't easy to find in Wilmington, SHISH
Blossers brew thru is not far from fairgrounds. A loud exhaust and rumpity cam sounds good inside the building.

Obviously there would be an endless line up of A and B body cars, but what's the average turn out for C-Bodies at Carlisle?

More than you can imagine. Most years I'd guess that there are more than 100 but I'm sure someone will have a more precise count.

Go out the gate and turn right under the turnpike bridge. There's a pizza & chicken wings place on the left, right next to a little pub where you can buy beer by the six pack. Good beer too, not the stuff they make in America.
This was part of my family.... Henninger Brewery - Wikipedia

I still prefer Bud Light, if I must drink beer.

Over all else, I prefer a good Boilermaker.

We fill the C Body line. Sometimes it's hard to find a parking spot. We do spill over to other parking areas.

I was a bit surprised PA would allow something like this. It was pretty cool driving through it.

Used to do those myself after a hard day. Favorite combo was Labatt's Extra Stock (actually a malt liquor) and Jim Beam. I don't imbibe anymore, but Jim Beam Black with a Mexican Coke was the final favorite at home.

Even at factory ride height, I couldn't fit under my car.

So, if I find a hotel and book it, then it's just a matter of coping with no AC or wipers for a day's drive there, sweating through my clothes until I smell so bad, nobody even wants to come near my car, then a day's drive back with no AC or wipers.

So far, sounding delightful.
Now you're getting it... but you won't want to leave if you even only like cars a little bit...

PA beer store... anything stronger has to come from a bar or a state owned liquor store... it's a screwy place for sure, but always fun watching out of towners looking for beer in a gas station or grocery store.
It's changing, finally. Beer is getting into the convenience stores, wine also in grocery. At least they are catching up before the 100th anniversary of the repeal of prohibition.

I'd be confused if I could buy beer, a sandwich and gas at the same place in PA...

Very difficult to be certain. They separate the 300s from the rest and park the 300s all together as a group. If they have a wagon class you could lose a few to that. The survivor tent may have a few. There have even been a couple in the specialty buildings from time to time.
Then there are those in the car coralle and on the swap field.
I don't think Bills number of over a hundred is out of line.
