What does 35,000 lbs of license plates look like

I took this pic are few years ago at a scrap yard. There were 48 700lbs large hay baled blocks of aluminum license plates. Oregon/Washington mostly

Interesting, I make signs from old plates and could have used a few of them!

My dad collected license plates for years.
Here's one that I gave him for his birthday.
I got this off a semi trailer full of crushed cars.
Somehow survived the crusher and made it on the truck. He traded it later for another plate
I believe it's the earliest know to exist number plate 69 issue california
