What I Had To Look At Today... thread.

Cuz mom (dad) pick up the phone/laptop too. Facebook sure has'nt helped a damn thing. I don't care how much they say social media is "good".
Or, as I've seen first hand, the parents both work multiple jobs, and pick up hours at work, taking away from the time they have with their kids. Why have kids if your main concern is your jobs?

I figured out, at an early age, that anyone could count to 20 using the finger and toe method. I thought I could out smart my classmates, and perhaps invent "new Math" by using the same method to count to 21. I got sent to the principal's office for indecent exposure. Go figure..

"I like cars, but I live in an area where it's too hot and there are too many mosquitos to work on a car in the summer"

You're kidding right...

What made you look at them? Much less take a picture of them? No "Readers Digest" magazines to look at?

When I see a parent and a child like that, I also suspect the grand parents were of similar size. In other words, their "role models" are what they use for reference, rather than possibly striving to be better than that.

I also see a current/future pharmaceutical life-time customer, too. Pills can't fix it all, but somebody will certainly tell you "Better living through chemistry" (as they ring up your insurance co-pay drug purchase).

Unfortunately, people usually reflect the environment they were brought up in. Unless they might want (or are motivated) to do something better. FWIW.

As a kid, I spent a lot of time in Daytona Beach in the 60's. Man, have things gone down the toilet.

Yea a lot has changed here in Daytona since the 60's. Do you know that it is against the law (County) to go more than waist deep in the ocean at our beach.
Know wonder why I don't go to the beach anymore :realcrazy:

"Hunsaker and his small boys – 9 and 11 years old – were 200 yards from the shore, way beyond the knee-to-waist depth limit, Malphurs said."
"he exceeded the safe-bathing limit"

Utah man who took children too far out in ocean in Daytona charged with child negect

That's the most pathetic thing I have heard today.

What the last part in the article?
"The children were turned over to their mother who took a flight back home, investigators said."
he he Think she's the smartest in the whole lot. Another happy toor'ist that I take it won't be back!

Trouble is the seriousness of the charges leads me to believe that we may have another assclown from up'nort dumped on our streets after all is said & done.

 :icon_fU: :BangHead: :elmer:

Rant over, now I gotta get on the horn to the doctor to make a appointment, I think I may have Crohn's disease, Diabetes too, Some kind of Cindi Lauper skin disease, gotta talk to him to about Migraines, I know I'm afflicted by that after watching all the GD pill commercials in the short time frame of watching Robin Meade. :(

Not in the least bit. After hurricane Florence, we literally can't let our dogs outside for more than 10 minutes at a time because of mosquitoes. On top of that, I'm not going to make myself miserable in 98 degree heat with 80%RH.
