Protest against "zwarte Piet" because that's racism..
Streetnames and names of tunnels here in Holland that have to be changed because they were called to people who had done some "racial" wrong things about some 300 years ago !!
Thing is that a small group of people want to change all the norms and values we (and I think that's the majority ! ) are used to and want to keep it that way. And the biggest problem is that they get to much attention by the media.
To often when I watch the news and see and hear all the "****" that's going on in the world today I say to myself: God I'm glad I won't be in this world in 50 years. Maybe it's because I'm getting older (59 now) but hey: where is this world going to ????

So, I'm going to have another beer now. Tomorrow I'm going to replace a piece of rubber fuelline of the Newport, giving her a bath, clean her up, and next week she's getting 4 brand new tyres...And that makes me forget all the "****'' I just wrote about...

The local schools have a rule in place on things like birthday parties... If you have a party for your kid, and you invite kids from their class, you have to invite ALL the kids from the class.

Why just limit it to "class"? Just make it the whole school

I don't quite understand what honoring the black traveling companion of St Nicholas has to do with racism. Is it because white students put on "Black Face" to play the character?

Massachusetts preschool tells children to stop saying 'best friend'

1st Amendment violation. Totalitarian facism. Goes completely against deep American values. And we wonder why this generation starts crying when anything negative is being said against them. And holy crap dont get me started on the whole "gender" thing. I get transgender but gender neutral/fluid whatever bs... They are trying to redefine the word that describes simply two biological determined developments. Gender neutral youd look like a Ken doll. Genderfluid,do you grow a dick as you please and then it goes away and fluids over into a vagina?

Oh I cant wait until mine is old enough for school. When we were out in Portland, my cousin said my daughter will probably be too intimidating for 90% of the soft "bois" her age. (Because she's being raised without screens and looks people in the eye.) I said "that's the plan."

BTW, this is probably as good a place as any to tell this story...

Last week when we were in Phoenix, we had a few hours to burn so we went looking at a new housing development in some VERY far-flung NW suburbs. Not that I'd want to live on one of these postage stamps, but I like seeing new ideas and floorplans.

The salesman was well into his 60s and was giving us the pitch. I can quote him almost word-for-word...

"I came out here from Silicon Valley. What I really like is that this area isn't crowded. None of the bad traffic like California."

Then...

"Technically, the mailing address is Buckeye [which is rural], but you'll never have to go there. I've only been twice. Once to get my mail and once with my wife because we heard there was a very good produce market in town. But when we got there, we saw a man carrying a gun! Right on his belt! We don't have that sort of thing in California so we got right out of there! He could have gone postal or something!"

So there you have it; the guy is at least 20 years my senior and he practically pees his pants because he witnessed a guy open-carrying in rural AZ. Of course never mind the hypocrisy that he surely feels there shouldn't be borders... He can afford to live in the sticks where the homes are $300k and up. I'm sure he's concerned about "climate change", but he's helping to replicate everything that already exists 20 miles closer to the city.

What a phony.

Our society asked for this crap when we wanted/allowed the educational system to start teaching morality. Many actually bought into the whole it "takes a Village" mentality.
And then it drew the self righteous to teaching. Certainly there are great teachers who want to do the job as intended, but way too many have decided they are much better suited to raise the children now

The whole problem with the Village mentality is that people forget that the village always has just enough idiots to mess things up for everyone else.

Semi dangerous play ground equipment sometimes resulted in broken bone(s). It also had the very beneficial effect of teaching risk evaluation. You learn risk management from doing something stupid that results in pain. If you survive the fall etc. you learn to "Think before you leap".

By the time my kids were out of school (same school) I had a couple teachers that didn't like me very much... I was never afraid to call one out on their BS. Of course, I would back them (teachers) up more times then not too. My kids weren't angels by any means...
