Which is correct HP manifold for a '70 New Yorker?

Thanks everybody for the contributions. Yes it is going into a ’70 car, which will be getting a ’69 engine. Which is in all respects the same as a ’70 engine, if you don’t take into account the slightly higher compression. And thanks to Furygt for pointing me the correct one. I just bought it off eBay. It should be here within a week or so.

Thank you all!

The air cleaner I have is a correct ’70 dual snorkel. With patina. Sold the heat stove, will have to find another one.

I'm having my 440 gone through at an engine shop. Very basic rebuild, just to put it back on the road after sitting in a garage for who knows how long. As I couldn't get a correct '70 engine, I settled for a '69. It's a regular 350hp version, but I've asked them to refresh it with HP pieces.

Now, for the left hand HP manifold I have two pieces. The upper one, #2951216, and the lower one, #2863409. But which would be correct for a 1970 model year?

. This manifold pictured is 3418351. Technically, FuryGT is correct, although several sources say either part number can be used for the 1970-71 model year. If you look at the flange angle, you see the difference the 3418351 and 2951216 manifolds. My 1971 Polara with U code 440 has the 2951216 manifold in the car, so either one will fit. If you look up 1968-9 model year C body, they do not differentiate. One manifold fits both 383 and 440 applications.

Yes Kim, I know. I wasn’t posting this picture as an item to sell, it was for comparison purposes only. When you compare the pictures, you can see what FuryGT is talking about when it comes to the flange angle. Apparently, this mattered for some reason in the 1970-71 model years between the 383 and 440 engines, but didn’t in the 1968-69 model years. If you try to reference the casting numbers, the application depends on the source.. FuryGT doesn’t seem to believe anything but what his reference material shows.. and that’s ok with me. I just choose to use more then one source.. that’s all.
