Get suspension back together, then get the 440 dropped in. BB trans needs rebuilt and installed. Then exhaust. Getting there!

Get rid of that random red wire that is run across your firewall. Either route it neatly behind the factory harness so it can't be seen, or undo whatever you're trying to "workaround". There is good reason the factory doesn't route wires that way.

Don't know myself. You'll have to do the ol p/n thingie...

Have to look into it more, but looks like they are atleast available. Ofcoarse 100$ more then the typical b body ones lol

Sweet! Thank you! Was actually talking to a buddy on the blumo board, that had a hard time getting his top back on the coupler. He ended up tack welding it in place. I'll have to show him this lol.

That stub frame is looking good, hope the control arms clean up as good.

Control arms are badly pitted. As long as there is no holes I'll be happy lol. Hopefully the shop can get em apart!

It was routed beter before the 360 was pulled. Its just the wire that runs from the water temp sensor, to the gauge.

I think it's Alan one of the other police car aficionados that is expert at getting them back on. He may be able to provide some tips on getting it to stay on w/o the clip. But the clip should work well as dealers used them per the tech bulletin

I'm not going to ask how you managed to break a torsion bar adjuster bolt, Even when one of mine gets stuck, the 300ft/lb impact driver wont budge it, and wont go near to breaking it. Arnold Schwarzenegger arms?

It didn't look extremely rusty either. It broke right under the head of the bolt, a few threads down. Idk

Nick saved my *** though. He sold me a set he happened to have. Feel much better now!

This is really turning into hell.

Pitman arm nut won't come off. Ordered a new steering gear, and pitman arm tonight, ofcoarse niether come with a new nut. Luckily rockauto claims to have one. Its ordered. Hoping to hell it is correct, as the old nut is going with the gear...

New ball joints, and bushings showed up. None of the local shops will touch my control arms. All these southern guys are afraid of a little rust. I found one shop thats gonna look at em tomorrow. I have a feeling they are gonna charge me out the *** though if they do work on them.

The pin that holds the steering shaft in the coupler rusted, and became one with the coupler. Had to drill it out. Welded up the goobered up hole, and drilled a new one. Still need to order a few more parts $$$

Have some parts painted, and drying. I pulled the master cylinder, and painted it. Also did a quick mask a paint on the booster to pretty it up. Not the greatest, but better then what it was. Booster had a bit of corrosion the black paint really shows.

You know, all of this started just because I wanted to swap in a big block, and found a rust hole in the drivers floor pan. Ugh.. lol

I'd like too, but need to get her done. Hoping to have her back on her feet by july 4th when a friend comes down. Hoping we can drop the 440 in while he's here.

Saying goodbye to the old power house. 360 is headed off tomorrow.

The shop mentioned earlier got the control arms done! Woo picking those up tomorrow as well. They didn't seem to enthused about doing em, but got em done.

Congrats on the small successes

Maybe take a break like Stan suggested even if a day / little one. Think about the little victories and the finished result and then get back at it :)

The 360 will have a good home, maybe colder

Very happy to hear. Keep us up to date on it when you start messing with her!

Sooo happy last week is behind me. On top of all the crap mentioned above, the Cordoba broke down on me on the way to work. Still don't have her running. Ordered a new distributor. Coil is sending power, but distributor is not sending power to the plugs... The same day my phone died. Luckily not when I needed it. lol. Ugh!

Did get my control arms back. Got some work accomplished! Looking much better after cleaned, and painted! Have a few straggler parts coming in this week. Excuse the horrible pics. The girlfriends camera sucks!! New phone won't be here till tomorrow.

Everything is new. Can't believe how much more $$ it was to do this front end over the Cordova's.

New steering gear didn't come with the hook ups for the hoses. Need to source some new ones, as I sent mine off with my old gear. Also want to order a new sway bar from firm feel to go with the new cop T-bars, and kyb shocks. That will be in a couple pay days.
