AMC Gremlin

No pictures of the engine or undercarriage; interesting....

The VIN indicates the 232, which is what the window sticker says as well.

Those steering wheels were Butt Ugly!!! The three spoke in the X models was so much better.

This one's seriously nice...

I think this car has been repainted, although at 26,000 miles I would not know why. That stripe looks wrong. Nice car though, indeed!

Interesting, they swapped the battery position somewhere between '71 and '73.

Well guys, guess what... got a Gremlin 1971, real nice catch thanks to a friend of mine who found the add. I'll keep u posted! :)

Looking forward to a Gremlin progress thread ... Is it a turn key car or a new project ?

This is the one... i believe a good score for this price. Seems original, and a driver. Little rough around the edges. Obviously needs a complete rebuild, but for the time being i will just have the major rust issues removed and have those areas sprayed, service the engine, rebuild the trans (reverse doesn't engage), rebuild safety components like brakes and suspension. The plan if for it to be daily beater.

One day i will do a complete restoration like the Newport. Either keep it original, or go fully electric with the engine.

What ya guys think ?

That's an awful lot of extra parts for a car that "has never sat outside."
Yeah, i would like to show some pics of what this seller has (but dont want to invade on his privacy) a few warehouses ( you see all the garage doors?) full of hotrods and such, a few million USD in cars, its a wonder he had a Gremlin, and someone was actually driving it all these years

And off it goes, from Colorado to the East Coast, and across the pond.

not too bad. Transport in the USA + container to Holland ~ 1600USD. Keep in mind there will be probably 3-4 cars in 1 container - stacked on wooden made frames. This is not for the faint of heart. I would not transport an immaculate car this way .My Newport came across this way, was handled by a forklift which damaged the bottom a little - does not really matter if it's for a complete rebuild anyway ;)

thank you, that´s cheaper than I thought. Although a Gremlin won´t require as much space as a fuselage
