I'm needing to find a replacement turn signal switch and I've narrowed it down to one with and one without "cornering lights", which I admit I have no idea what those are. Can someone enlighten me please? It's for a 68 Fury.

The repair manual doesn't list them and Google isn't any help.

Thanks!

They are white flood lights on the front fenders activated when you use the blinker. I'm sure someone here will correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe they were an option on Plymouths.

Oh, is that what these are?

No those are fender mounted turn signals. Cornering lights are mounted at the bottom of the fender:

Nope, those are fender top turn signal indicators. NOT cornering lamps.
Cornering lamps were large housings that sat at the bottom of the front fenders, and lit up when the turn signal was activated for each particular side. They sent a wide non-focussed flood of light towards the corner of the vehicle that the turn signal was indicating.

I'll try to find you a picture

Here is a 68 Monaco with cornering lamps - look at the front fender in front of the wheel opening, in the lower trim.
For what it's worth, I don't think the Plymouth had the cornering lamp option, except MAYBE the VIP. However, the switches would all be the same between Dodge and Plymouth, so hence the listing for cornering lamps.

Thanks guys. That Monaco looks the same as mine though but higher, is that correct or no?
