What are you working on today??

Doing a test fire on 87 Dodge pickup that I finally rescued from buddies before thieves could finish stealing it.

Finally got the 'fleet'

out of the man cave.
First time this year. (Should have taken the pics AFTER I power washed the house...)

Took my fiancé, future mother-in-law, brother-in-law and sister-in-law out for lunch at the local beef-n-brew and drove around Mapleton, Iowa. Great time. On the way to Sloan to watch my fiancé’s granddaughter play softball, we drove through the climbing hills area (part of the Loess Hills National byway). Had to put the top up in Sloan as it started raining.
I figured that I put about 250 miles on Shamu today.

Went to the Annual Threshers convention in Wauseon OH.
If you like steam and coal smoke and the machines that are powered by them this is your place.

This is contest on how fast you can find the balance point. The winner did it in under 10 seconds.

They also had 'hit-n-miss' engines and lots of lawn tractors.
A good time was had by all.

Didn't know there was a steam show there. I was in town taking train pictures on Wed.

There's a good steam show near me in Mid Michigan end of July. MICHIGAN STEAM ENGINE AND THRESHERS CLUB

What I did today, was get the transmission bolted up in my '65, the crossmember back in, and the motor mounts settled back in place. Still have a bunch of small stuff to deal with, but hopefully that's the last of the heavy lifting.

Went to a car show and watched the Servpro win a well deserved award.

Removed water pump, fuel pump, exhaust manifolds, and motor mounts from my engine.. bagged and tagged. Getting the motor ready for the machine shop. Also built a simple wood rack for this years firewood. I am for a beer and the weekend. Wait, what?

I installed a Holley 4779 750 CFM double pumper on my '66 Monaco 500 440. After 5 attempts at getting the dual line fuel feed to stop leaking, I purchased a new fuel line kit, I was able to get it to seal up and the car is running. I've got an Edelbrock performer intake on the car and I had to clearance the choke housing to clear the fuel line. It is running better than the '70 375 horse AVS I've had on the car for years. It seems to be quicker seat of the pants than before. I really need to put the sure grip in it now, it burns the 1 tire at will!
I'm running the stock air cleaner with a '68 Imperial base to be able to use the newer carb size, I had to dimple the base to clear the float adjuster screws.

I have been chasing a couple of fault codes on my 2015 Ford Fiesta and I believe that I have discovered the problem:

Mice!

This harness is for the downstream oxygen sensor, tucked behind a metal bracket on the back of the engine. I have replaced both oxygen sensors, cam positioning sensors and both variable valve timing solenoids. The car has 104k on the clock and ran like a top before getting the codes.

I will splice in a short extension for the 4 wires.
