This W1 Monaco 500 'vert went up for sale couple of days ago on Kijiji.

@kmccabe56 posted the production figures back in 2014, and the seller's figures are correct. Still, no matter how rare, this one looks like a parts car to me.

--> before it disappears, it would be good to get the fender tag for records: I have not seen many with that interior (is it 4T tan?). The seller seems to shoot straight and the CAD 1.6k asking price seems to be negotiable:

"Rusty rusty. I would buy a 2 door out of Arizona to do the build. 69 Monaco 500 Convertible. Only 347 made, this is one of the 90 383 2bbl cars. $1600, reasonable offers. Parked it in 2010, fuel leak. Has a 360 in it now, I have 383s available. I do have a nice grille here I would include if your offer is reasonable."

@Kevin Carpenter, @marko, @rhinopar (who own Monaco 500 'verts) and @Hemiguy (who owns two, a B3 and an R6) may be interested -- as may @300 rag too (as he owns a hardtop). I am sure that I am missing some owners, apologies for the quick writing.

Red interior...........!
@ayilar did you ask for the FT...
Red interior per the owner, but tan seats from a different car.

AFAIK, there were no red interiors in 1969 US-market senior Dodges. Canadian Monaco 500's may have been different, but till today I had seen no evidence to support the idea. Waiting to see the tag.

Confirmed. H4R6 interior code. Windsor-built in October 1968, B VON.

In the States, Dodge did not offer red Monaco or Polara interiors in 1969 AFAICT — see the Hamtramck Library: The 1970 Hamtramck Registry Library Page (1965 - 1969)

I have not been able to find info on interiors for Canadian-market Monaco 500s. The Canadian brochure, available from the Fuselage website, makes no mention of interior colors:

It has been pointed out before that in 1970 the Canadian Dodge interiors were related to US Fury interiors, and there was a red interior available on US Fury iii ‘verts in 1969:

It would be great to hear from our Canadian friends and Monaco/Polara 500 owners interested in this specific topic, including but not limited to:

@kmccabe56 @69monaco @Marco @cbarge @Kevin Carpenter @300rag @Welder guy

Sad but true. It can be saved but never will be "original" and who knows where the original drivetrain went.
Just because it is rare, it still may not be feasable to restore.

column shift car missing all the monaco 500 trim unless its in the trunk..........

column shift car missing all the monaco 500 trim unless its in the trunk..........
And I will add to the missing parts..the steering wheel. I am betting it was the woodgrain sport steering wheel which is probably now in a Charger or some other B body...

Not all 500,s came with console-shift.......iiac .
I owned a ( US ) 69 polara 500 with column shift.

console shift was an option, you had the choice of either buckets buddy seat or buckets console.

I have been communicating with the seller because the combination of white exterior and red interior is very appealing to me and I thought about the car seriously.

I liked the way he responded to my questions. The only reason why I decided to pass is that, while DH27G9R158659 seems salvageable, I am not up to taking on a project that involves this much metal work.

--> The seller is open to offers from anyone who will restore the car. He is afraid that it will get destroyed, and so he will make a deal: basically he put a number on Kijiji just to advertise, and while he needs something out of it, "it staying out of the wrecker is more important." The reason why he is selling it is because he's moving overseas and cannot take the car with him.

I can share his contact info via PM, should anyone be seriously interested. Attached are some photos that I received yesterday, including the fender tag. I asked for permission to post, and he is happy to get the word out -- as I said, he wants the car saved.
