What's this hole on my firewall for?

My non a.c. '67 firewall looks nothing like that.

Heater bypass valve may be the correct term, I called it a water valve.

Thingy - LMAO......

Fuggit. I gotta go to a car show. We'll figure it out tomorrow. Thanks for all your help.
I may have to drive down to PSL :)

Now Commando1 has to go to Carlisle to resolve this issue...it's probably the only way to get him there.

Hey Stan i am pretty sure i removed that from my car when stripping it, i will go find it, take some pics and let you know.

here is the part, it has some rust stains on it but i check and it still actuates and the rust is surface only, not eaten into the steel.

Yep sure, Ill find a box and pack it, then let ya know what total cost including shipping will be.

Capillary tube is broken on that valve.

Might not make a difference to you as you don't use the heat as often in Fla.

Yah when I pulled the unit out the wire was screwed to something but i cant remember what, it wasn't a coil like that and its a solid copper wire too, not a tube.

I checked the tip of the wire and it does not look to be broken, its a clean flat face on it, not cut either?
