Thanks Errol, good of you to help out the family that way. Looks like there are plenty of parts to be had, but, I suspect strangers calling and requesting parts and such will just raise the family's suspicions. Perhaps you could start a thread to take requests, and then go back to them with a list of wants? I think it would be easier for them with someone they trust.

Sympathies on the shipping issues, I hate it when I get a package put together and go get an exact quote and the "buyer" never follows up. Please post what you have, I'd love to see it and maybe buy some parts where I can.

I think I saw some 61 Plymouths that might yield some stuff I need. I'd be happy to compensate you for time & effort.
I'm abut 200 miles from Memphis.

Errol got back with me yesterday about one of the cars I'm interested in...like I need another, but it's pretty straight and hopefully can be had for a reasonable price, considering I have to go 550 miles to get it and then haul it home!

If the deal happens and you make the trip, perhaps I could meet up with you there. It's about 3 hours from me. Might be a great opportunity for a "shopping spree".

Hey Guys, Since Earl's gone there isn't anyone there to orchestrate who gets in and buys what.
Mike (son) is out there often but, it's only in evenings or when he can get there.
Again, I'm NOT kin, family or authorized to have a 'key' and since things are getting moved around, I wouldn't want to keep posting the same pics
if they aren't there..
SO, I'll try and get out there and take more recent pics.
And I'm sorry if it's frustrating to some but, I'll try and help get as much info as possible for me in the time I have to get it..

Let me know if I can be there and help out with loading whatever..
I'm only about 30-40min away.

I spoke with son Mike this morning. As noted above, Mike is trying to deal with his dad's passing, family matters, and of course he has a
personal life as well. He said the part about the city giving him '30days to "clean up" or they will probably come in, steal/crush whatever they can and charge the 'estate' removal fees' just isn't true, and asked me to let people know that. It makes people turn into vultures offering him $75 for whole cars when maybe just the one part they need is worth that. Done. Doug

I have to play the cold hearted prick here and present the other side of the situation.
Let's face it. This junk has been accumulating probably like forever and for what? Because Earl liked to hoard stuff? Don't let the fact that it is Mopar stuff bias your view. Years of junk accumulated with no thought of the future. The family didn't do any preventative planning either it appears. So Earl up and dies and leaves in his wake (not ha-ha) a mess the family has to clean up with.
The city isn't probably being the bad guys either. I bet they've been hassling with him for years and he was stubborn and ornery. Probably a PITA to the neighbors too or the city wouldn't have swept in so fast.
As far as buzzards offering pennies on the dollar, what dollars are you basing it on? The dollars had the stuff been organized, catalogued, and properly valued with the intention of selling it. No. It's worth what it is.
Guys with cash and aggresive persuassion will get a good buy.

No. I'm saying it's probably not gold.

I'm taking the vulture's side. If it's worth more, then get someone to pay more. If you can't, well...

I see "gold" day in and day out that's as worthless as lead.

Without pics, it ain't Mopar Mecca.

No problems with any of those ideas for me. We see unrealistic expectations of car values, junkers or running, or parts every day. And we don't add in people's sentimental value for Aunt Millie's first car after the war etc.
