Update... well I convinced her, but I told her I'll get rid of the 72 and a couple of other toys. I looked at it closer last weekend and put a battery in it to make sure it wasn't stuck and it cranked over nicely. It was too dark in the shop to get pics on my phone for you guys but I'll put some up when I can.

Buy her some NICE flowers (not supermarket) type, the next night make a NICE dinner as a surprise (not microwave), then go shopping with her with no whining or complaining and tell her she looks nice in everything. Put your arm around her when watching TV, hold her hand when walking in public, do these things every week and you won't have to ask. When we see a car I have to tell my wife I don't have time for another car!
Give a good stiff one regularly and she won't care what you do with cars

That's a tough delemna! I was very fortunate to find a wife that loves mopars as much as I do! Maybe ask her what colour she wants it painted when you are done building it for her?

To purchase or not.....Reminds of my story...24 years ago when I was married, found a '61 Imperial in Salmon color. It was repainted but needed cosmetic re-assembly. The man lived by Racine WI. and loved Imperials. He owned 20 plus but then had a stroke and could not finish them He was so smart he made a die to reproduce the '57-'63 Imperial lower half rear quarters and had a stack of them. The '61 could of been purchased for $600. My wife told me that she would divorce me if I purchased another old car In retrospect I should of bought the car as she divorced me a 1 1/2 years later.
