Anyone have a guess at how many Monaco 500's were ordered with a 440? I know it would just be a % of total production but I can't find any info on it. I bet it is less than a couple hundred though

I thought.... but again, could be mistaken that all 70 500's had the 440

For 1970 at least, the Monaco 500 package was bucket seats with center arm rest or console, trunk carpet and spare tire cover. That is it - kind of a weird package it seems. 440 not required to be a 500. That car has what appears to be a 500 badge on the lower front fenders behind the front wheels. I have a nearly identical 70 Monaco with a 440 like that except mine is burnt orange inside and out, and it even has buckets with console, but not the trunk dress up. So it doesn't have the 500 emblems.

Look at that..... Superlite, 440, disc brakes, cornering lights, rear defogger, auto temp, am/fm multiplex, Console, buckets with power seat, power windows, tilt, cruise, Power locks , looks like a vacuum trunk release, so perhaps a towing package, Road wheels and dual mirrors..

Thats a special order car if I ever saw one. OK whats the Y code on it? 00w0w_gJpayGyXv7U_600x450.jpg

I pasted the ad text, where was the VIN?

I looked at Monacos two days ago and It wasnt listed

special order code is Y39

But the question is what it was.
Could be a dealer demonstrator (Y13)
or a sold car (Y14, someone ordered it)

We would need to see the tags or BS

there is a mistake in it.
It was probably DH23T0D162004
So it is not an early built car

I still have the page up on my iPad.
oops, you guys beat me to it, nice work!

I figured at that price it would sell quick. Be interesting to see if it gets flipped or not.

I know all the Codes, thank you Carsten, my question is, what was it? We need to see it.... If it were a Y14, Id like to know why someone ordered that car....and we'll never know

so 19 pixs in the ad and we have 8... who has the other? Will you please send them to me?

If the new owner does show up on here you know that car has to still have its buildsheet in it as it looks UNTOUCHED!

That car is really amazing. The dashpad doesn't even have a crack in it and even more challenging, the rim blow steering wheel is mint as well. And pretty low miles. Someone robbed the bank! But the Autotemp is a negative - maybe that will assuage me!

You are correct............. I have said for the past fifteen years the best cars are in the North West

Its all top of the line stuff. When they say a car is filly loaded, this car would come close to fitting that bill.... what options does it NOT have.
