Hey, guys, I’m new here, but I am also a member at FABO and FBBO. I am the second owner of a 1968 Chrysler 300, which I bought twenty years ago from the original owner. I wanted a Charger, but I was in high school and couldn’t afford one, so the 300 ended up being my first car. I’ve only seen one other 1968 300 in real life and nobody at a car show or when I used to drive it around has ever been able to identify it on sight. I am glad to have found a group of like-minded full-size enthusiasts. I’ve been a Mopar guy since long before then and the car was my pride through high school. However, life intervened, and I stored it away in 2003 and there it still sits, looking very derelict today- but still rust-free! I have been sidetracked by other Mopars and other projects, like a 1967 Dart GT (/6-auto) that I owned from 1999-2013, and a 1972 Charger Rallye that I just finished a complete mechanical “restoration”on. Well, technically not a resto as it has a 500ci B-engine and a GM 4L65E. Hopefully the 300 will be my next project.
I won’t be on here much because my involvement in these online forums waxes and wanes with my interest level and how busy I am in general. The forums are a massively useful collection of knowledge. The photos of all your cars are inspirational!

:welcome: Do you perhaps have any photos of your 300 that we could see? We like pictures!

Welcome to the site from the Motor City!

Welcome SAC and for the record, their are many of us at least on this site that can recognize a '68 300 comin' or goin' from more then ah few feet away, NICE STUFF but we need pix, Jer

Obviously, I knew YOU GUYS would know a '68 300. The average car show attendee, not so much. I've heard all kind of guesses, from a Ford of some type to who knows what...
Here's a picture I took on the car's 30th birthday (September 12, 1997) Chrysler.jpg

Hey, Howyadoin? Welcome, SAC. Is that SAC as in Strategic Air Command? Note my avatar.
Haha. Yeah, I know it stands for Strategic Air Command, but those are also my initials. It's the same name I use on other sites. I am just not good at making up a clever handle.

And who doesn't love showing off their collection? When looking through my photos, I realized though that I don't have any properly framed front 3/4 shots of my Charger after all the work I put into it. Here's one from a couple of months ago at lunchtime in the old farm town I grew up in.

The 300 looks beautiful in that color and I definitely think you need to get it back out on the road.
