Ok so during the Holidays I'm over an one of my Aunt/uncles house. Ron (uncle) has a small dog that he takes everywhere. He's telling me that I should get a small dog too. Because he says women just come right up to him & want to pet the dog & are kinda silly acting. I told him that I had noticed that women seem to like dogs. So today I'm at a fast food place sitting in my van. This young woman pulls right in front of me. Kinda blocking my exit. No big deal. I got some time so I'll see what she's up to. Well she gets out of her Explorer & walks around to the other side & lets this Hugh dog out. Puts a leash on him & walked him briefly. She walks back to the Explorer opens the door. Snaps her finger & points into the seat. The dog jumps in & she removed his leash & gets in & drives away. That's when it hit me. The real reason why women like dogs. Because they can leash them AND they will Obey...........

Bob, you may be on to something... I pissed off several women over the years by not responding when they snap their fingers. When we bought the house my wife started in on all she didn't like... about a month and a lot of work later she was still going... Finally I had enough and told her "You've been a real ***** lately, why don't you ease off a bit." She walked away for a while and came back with "I may be a ***** once in a while, but your always an ******* and think its ok." I swear I didn't hesitate and said "Yes, but I was an ******* when you met me, I haven't changed."

That's telling her. Or maybe she told you. LoL

Does your wife or your dog love you more? Put them both in the trunk of your car for an hour. When you open it you will find out.
Down in the "States" we put them in the garage, besides with the new cars there wouldn't be enough room.

Well guys I really get to make you jealous, I retired last June, and my divorce was final in August. Oh and by the way, I got the dog.

Never argue with the GF/Wife. You'll loose that argument someday in the future
Or as someone once explained it to me, "even if you win, you lose."

Another way to look at it is there's a difference between being right and 'winning'. Sometimes being right just isn't worth the hassle.

We had a little visitor show up at our place last week out of the blue. I don't think he escaped as no one ever drove around the neighborhood looking for him. More likely a Christmas present someone didn't want. Managed to get him into the garage out of the monsoon on Day 2, he was covered with fleas and stunk bad but was one sweet pup. Would've kept him if possible, but Animal Control finally came and got him, and a Rescue group took him from there yesterday. Otherwise it was up to me to figure out how we could keep him as I was instructed to go get him if he was still there in 2 weeks. Wife loved him, more than daughter did I think!

Go back and get him before someone else does.

I agree. Looks like he needs to be with your daughter!

My sister came across a dog that was tied to a guardrail, with enough chain to reach across the highway. She stopped and got the little guy, cowering against the guardrail. He was dirty and stinky, but glad to be off the highway. She brought him home and cleaned him up and proceeded to call the authorities in the county she found him. They didn't like the neighboring county where she lived and refused to take the dog. Called her county and they wouldn't take the dog since she found it in the other county, that they didn't like. It was in Mississippi, and they apparently hold grudges for lifetimes, and she was stuck with the dog, some little terrier mutt. She left it at her apartment the first day she went to work and it tore up her bathroom floor pretty good. She left it at a friend's house the next day, quite a ways away. He got out of their fenced in yard and made his way back to her apartment some hours later, earning his name, Tracker. He loved her so much so that when she came to our parents house, who became adoptive parents, he would roll on his back and start peeing because he was so excited to see her. Always hated me, he'd bark, growl, sneer at me. He was a good hearted little bigger that thought he was 3-4 times his size. It's funny how sometimes a dog find you, vs you finding the dog.

The same thing happened with both of my dogs. "Buddy" was rescued from an abusive owner at 6 mos. and has been totally loyal and protective for 16 years. "Simon" was rescued off the street at 8 wks. and was the same way for the 12 years he lived.
