WTB: 1970-1971 Fury GT project / rolling body

My 69 Sport Fury convertible had power drums. While comparing speeds with a sports car on the highway years ago we both passed a cop sitting on the median. I quickly took the first exit I could while standing on the brake pedal. When I got to the bottom of the ramp I turned right, I had to. I couldnt bring the car to a stop in that short of time so I made the right turn to avoid going straight through the light. I was only doing about 120 but the ramp was too short, the wheels never locked. Those brakes made a hell of a stink ......

NO, it was the brakes. I had that car two years and never took off a drum to look at the brakes.

I know I have them on, I need new ones though.......... all mine are a year old. My wife is rough with them

How much is a 70 GT worth in conditions 1-5?And not just cheap C body guy prices.I mean actual market value prices.

This ought to be interesting...

A true number 1 1970 GT 440-4 (doubt it exists) could brig fifty grand

A number 2 car ten grand

A number 3 car $6,000

A number 4 car 3,500

A number five .....1000

only my opinion for now and is subject to change within a moments notice

Thanks! That helps out quite a bit.I have just never seen a GT in nice condition sell,so I haven't had anything to go off of.

Neither have I but so many guys are looking for a nice GT, some have been restored nicely but none have been number ones

Mine isn't quite that nice and for the price it would sell for I would rather part it out.I will be keeping the motor and trans for an E body build.Everybody knows how rare these cars are and wants one,but nobody wants to pay any more than 1986 prices for them. 2012-03-27_21-15-48_136.jpg

Not exactly sure.I have a 66 and a 67 Charger to finish and then I'll get around to it.I have too many other projects anyway.

Tx.I'll post them on a few different sites. This will be one of them.I'd really like to set up an auction with a reserve for the majority of the parts, but we'll see how it goes.

I think I remember the car. If its the one I am thinking of you were asking too much..

Got a photo you can post?

Considering it came with a running parts car and some other things,I really didn't think it was unreasonable.I'm actually offended and would rather just set the thing on fire and send it to the crusher.

Why are you offended? Because you have too much into the two cars, more than they are worth? Or because you think all old cars should meet classic car auction house prices? Or some other unforeseeable reason?

I'd say that between the rarity of the car and how much others want one that it should bring more than $1000.That's just ridiculous.Common full size Chevy and Fords are bringing better prices.I understand that it's just a C body, but the production numbers and history behind the cars should make it worth something.

Let me get this right.... a #5 car with the engine/txsm pulled, the fender tag is already off the car and you think it's worth more than $1000?
