Removing a rotten stub frame filled with rats nests and (probably) hantavirus

What are you trying to hide with the blurry areas..
That it is a sunroof car....?
Dead hookers on dash.....?
Details..... :)

Honestly? I was just fooling around with the new youtube editor thing and figured I'd hide the stripes. This is the ex-Dodge show car for '73. Yes to sunroof.

Also figured this out... Car has factory AC but all glass is un-tinted (and original). WTF? But if you wanted to show off the interior and make it easier to photograph...

Unconventional. Enjoy.

I think I will try to avoid the gouges in my driveway... but I trust your judgement about when/how to scrap something... you have too good a track record saving these cars to start beating you up now.

That car could have been saved.....

Who says it isn't being saved? The first steps of any surgey are often quite ugly.

What you didn't see was the very carefully removed sheet metal, wiring, etc. All that was left by that point was broken torsion bars, exhaust, the remains of a frame and rat poop.

Afterwards the patient was put into traction and given a sponge bath with my power washer.

Driveway gets re-done right before I blow this popsicle stand, lol.

Nice truck!

Sunroof car ehh?? Is it still intact? Or have your removed it yet?

Could you take a bunch of pics of the process??

Sending you a PM.

My main focus is on getting the car "mobile"; that is sitting on the new subframe so I can at least shove it in and out of the garage. The interior is intact at the moment, so I won't be ripping into the sunroof for a while.

Very important. This is what my wife will be dealing with through the summer:

I need to show this to Laura, but I'm afraid I'll be out with the dog. I get to do that this weekend. I don't think she realizes how involved it might get.

Yes, we've had similar car bombs go off at our house.

That's the best way I've heard it described!

She's gonna be pissed when I tell her about parts car #2.

I just realized, okay, yesterday I did, but I need a nibbler (think that's what they're called). Gotta cut the good steel off the car for patches.
