Hello,

I know that there are few differences between 65 and 66 Polaras. I believe that it is mostly in the front of the car.... Besides the tailights.... Does any one know the differences?

Thanks

Eric

I believe most of the interior is the same, if that matters.

65 was the first year since the fifties shifter was on the column , but still shifting cables in 65 , 66 new shifter linkage . and trans housing changed .

miniscule difference in that the 880 was dropped after 65'. Both are great looking cars. They had real style, and were well built compared to the competition.(ford and chevy)

Interior door handles. Window and vent window crank handles. Consoles, seats, door panels. Grill, tail lights, trim surrounding both, trunk lid, hood, front fenders, rear quarter tail light openings.

Stub frames. Motor mounts. Engine setback. Front and rear bumpers.

There's likely quite a bit more but I forget.

Both years had quality. The 65' transitioned from early 60's to the 66 up mechanical changes that are seen in the b bodies as well. I also Owned a 66' in 1971, so I am a bit biased.

The body line in front fender on 65 goes halfway around wheel well 180 degree then continues towards front. Body line on 66 front fender goes around wheel well 90 degrees and stays on high and continues towards front. My opinion I like the line on 66 better, to me more stream line.
