These Cars are extremely Rare !

Just because it may be " extremely Rare "
does not mean it has a lot of value..

I'm kinda digging these cars... my 76 RR had that exact interior, and was a neat little car. I looked hard at this guy's pics, the car would be worth every cent if there was any metal left. This one is awfully close to being a vin donor...

..or at least the rims.

They did a few nice packages with radial tuned Suspension Upgrades and stuff, what else exciting of domestic production could you get new in These days of castration ?

How could a new hellcat get that bad in such a short time???

And got rarer by one more, another owner going to restore than selling when to far gone.

Those rims are woth a grand? To who? Somebody restoring one of the other 251 I guess, because the rest of us can buy 8" steel rims all day long.

Actually I have seen them before several times for that money. I'm glad my '79 Magnum GT already has them, plus T-tops and E-58 Police Package. In 1983 when I had a Magnum GT E-58, I would race a fellow Police Science student to the bar in-between classes. He had a Super Coupe and I beat him every time. From then on everytime I call these cars a "Chicken Coupe". A different friend has one now and I refer to it by my nickname.

I know there are no bumps for hubcaps on the OEM, but I'd just widen a police wheel long before I dropped a grand on those rims. Or just run period-correct rims.

Agree 100%. What a shame, really like these things. LOVE the wheels. Quite a bit of rust going on:

The one I had at 18 was very similar to this, mine had the factory sunroof and the 1/4 window louvers. My stripes were blue instead of orange. She had a 360 with the Holley 2 bbl factory and was geared low... a guy I never liked much in high school was running around in an Aspen he kept throwing money and speed parts at... with those low gears, he could never beat me running the red lights through Carnegie PA, and I was smart enough to never let myself be caught by him on an open road. He always wanted me to open the hood to see what I had, it was more fun letting him suffer.

At the time, it was the best handling car I had driven. The lower line ones I owned later on were always a disappointment when I compared them to this car. After I totaled it, I sold it to a friend who wanted the nice black interior for a Duster... IDK if there was much else left, the bumper was pushed into the crank pulley and the water pump was broken.

I suppose if the sea of orange ones really appealed to me the same, I would be torturing the folks on the FMJ site instead of here.
