UGH!
Okay. Upon taking off the steering wheel the other day - it looked to rain confetti with metal shavings!
I was also upset to realize that while removing the steering wheel, the threads on the retaining nut have been completely stripped, and the face of the shaft stripped, not allowing me to seat anything on it. (Before anyone says it; yes I may have hit the shaft with a hammer a few times before using a puller
)
Does anyone know the nut size for the retaining nut? And would it be better to just try and salvage another shaft or use a tap and die?
