Wow! Land of the Free....Home of the Brave!

Hitler's 1939 Mercedes 770K is going to be auctioned at Barrett-Jackson next month. I don't know what to think of it.... Should it be auctioned and sold? Should it be seized and destroyed? Should the government seize it and display at the Smithsonian or the National WWII Museum or the Armor Museum at Ft. Knox, Ky? BTW, I have read in the article that this car could sell for as much as $14 Million dollars. Could buy a shitload of C-Bodies with that amount of money.

The feedback on this should be interesting....

I'd like to give it a spirited test drive just once before it goes back into a collection or hiding for it's protection...

It has armor plating.....

60 foot time is probably half a minute and 1/4 mile ET a minute and a half. LOL!

What' s all this government seizure BS? Its a free country, I'm glad it's here . Let it roll......

Sure, but how does she handle?? :D
Its part of history, albeit a dark point in the past but none the less history. Sieze and destroy? Not in my opinion....
Agreed, but if you can't safely park an orange charger with a flag on it's roof... what are the chances you can allow much public access to this one??

The car should not be destroyed. It should be on display as an artifact of an evil, defeated regime. If we destroy the artifacts of history, we run the risk of generations not knowing history.

I agree with saving history, good and bad. As an US citizen, I'd like to lob a willy pete in it and go have a smoke. I won't be visiting this thing where ever it ends up.

That's an all too familiar and current scenario. Hell, it seems like a majority of Americans already don't know history.

Personally, I've always thought this car and Goering's car were good looking.

That’s already happening and as far as this gorgeous car is concerned, it didn’t choose to have Hitler as a passenger.

Armor plating in a convertible? It should be in the hands of someone likely to inadvertently lock the keys in the car... with the top down.

Apparently they were worried about IED's back then too.
