Everybody showed up in the morning at Woodley Park for the drive thru the canyons up to Malibu. Some pretty neat stuff showed up. We had guys as far away as British Columbia and Finland along for the ride.

We got the "don't kill nobody" speech and hit the road. Drove up to about Calabasas, avoided getting rammed by the clowndashian locals and hit the famous Mulholland Hwy. First stop was the Rock Store a really cool bike stop watering hole. Weather was warm and perfect by now, my brother even shed his Mad Max leather jacket.

Next stop was the scenic overlook to watch little rubber people try to kill themselves on super bikes. Just kidding they were actually pretty cool and didn't do anything super crazy while we were all watching. We got to see em buzz a superbird on its way up the grade.

Next leg was breaking out to the PCH. I got to enjoy my newly installed steering wheel and boy did that make a big diff. Jumbo flew thru the curves and we got quite a few " you never slid off in that thing... " comments when we landed in Malibu.

We were lucky enough to follow Kenny Wayne Sheppard in his new Demon, wow, and Ted Moser driving the General Lee car thru the canyons. It was hard keepin up !!!!!! Ted runs Picture Car Warehouse and he builds some awfully wicked cool cars. We had front row seats to watch their E ticket rides burn up the road. Both guys are a couple of genuinely nice dudes.

We called it a day after we BS'd for a while on the coast. The group went on to the Reel in for fish & after we jumped a '70 E-body ( 50 cars nobody but us had cables...), we turned north toward Ventura to grab some Mexican food in a favorite spot near Camarillo.

Camarillo has a great air show in Aug every year. FiFi the B29 was parked there for a while, a must see if you ever get the chance. Weesh what a nice ol crate she is.

Best Friday the 13th I ever had...

And yes I got some swap meet pics for you guys. Tons of cool stuff. I scored my back panels and a nice air cleaner for cheep!!!

$25 each and still spongey. The cleaner was $30, way better than $600 for an unsilenced. I'll make my own I think...

That's it what a great weekend. Even greater seeing old friends & making some new ones ( it was nice to meet you Eric the coolest ever Sport Fury owner), and getting to spend it with my two little brothers. I even wound up with some cool driving shots my brother took following us home for dinner. Adios.

Thanks for sharing. That looks like it was so much fun.
Sure was. I've never had time to do the cruise to Malibu before. It's funny we watched the cars leave for the Copperstate 1000 in Az last weekend and the paid like 5 grand to go onthat car ride. Fun and free is for me !!!!
