Gosh I really hope someone is putting together arrangements to buy this car before it's parted out...makes me wish I hadn't already bought two cars this year :(

When you finally run out of Fuselage cars, you all will be knocking down our doors. :poke:

it is kinda strange Stan.

Despite personal preferences:
There is a huge crowd for Slabs and a huge crowd for Fuselages but the Formal group is smaller than 5%.
But in every European country I know of.
Maybe in the Netherlands they have a few more but the request in total isn't high.

It is an observation.
I hope it will survive of course as I don't want to see any old C-body die

I would agree with this. I do think the 74-75 imperials seem more desirable than the later NYB’s

I think they all have their pluses and minuses... the 74's are my favorites, but they are enough of the same DNA, there is no arguable difference in the driving experience other then the quality of the individual 40yo car.

The wiper issue is the biggest minus for a 78, and that has been effectively worked around by several owners.

So Captin... I gather she wasn't running well... my browser doesn't support the video format you posted... does that change anything in your plans?

Just my opinion....

74-75 Imp's.....ALL with 4 wheel disc brakes and ATC II more desirable than 76-78 NYB's with rear drum brakes and manual A/C???? I think not.

Aluminum intake and new carb will fix that

I consider the 76 the sweet spot. I didn't plan it that way. I found it after the fact.
And maybe the 77 but a few almost indistinguishable design details to most observers make it #2.

On a St. Regis 2 door, I like the 78 because:

1) unique stripe pattern.
2) mirror appliqués
3) delay wipers
4) digital radio/clock
5) turbine-bling wheel covers
6) extra bling grille

The wiper thing is a push. I have a welder and they all need service by now. I will not forgive the de-contenting of the vinyl top moldings on hardtops. I'm also fascinated with end-of-era stuff, like digital radios in a hardtop or Airbags in an M-body 5th.

You gotta admit we're really nitpicking here, tho...

Where/who else would EVER read a list of such nitpicks?

Also... I keep a plastic trunk liner from a '74 Imperial chambered to replace the cheap cardboard one used from '76 on.

There is also a lot of other firsts...and only's on a 78 too.

A 76 NYB with rear drum brake, manual A/C and before the mid year change to Lean Burn might be the least problematic of Formal's 74-78.

You think this will work to cut the roof off

Definately, but I use the "Diablo" blades. They're really designed for I-beams and won't dull out as quickly.

Here's a stubframe removal tip.
