Hi everyone! I posted not too long ago looking for a 1972 Plymouth Fury 4Dr but I've put that hunt aside for now for this yacht. I'll send more pictures soon. Just glad to finally have a C-Body! She's a massive 20 foot long triple black boat! Once I get her home I'll get some more photos. Here's what I have for now! Only thing I'll need to do for now is have the driver's side power window fixed. Hope you guys like her! I'm keeping it 100% stock, which seems to be uncommon for people my age when it comes to cars like this (might be the youngest Imperial LeBaron owner.) viewing the Dealer Brochure it looks like this is in 'Formal Black' topped off with power everything, optional 8-Track and a 440 4-Barrel engine.

Thanks! I know 1970's (Or any decade) Four-Doors aren't popular or necessarily looked at with great adoration by many but that just makes it more unique to me! I know there's a small niche of classic Four-Door and Station Wagon lovers out there who appreciate them too.

I accidentally found her on CL about seven days ago when I was doing my millionth search for a 72 Fury/72 Newport here 1974 Chrysler Imperial (Don't think it'll be up much longer, now ) and when I saw it I fell in love with it. Since then I've been in contact with the seller who told me it belonged to his Father who passed away. He bought it at an auction in 2015 and replaced the brakes, new A/C and replaced the gas tank in it (Had been sitting for quite some time with old gas). The original owner bought it in 1975 if I read correctly, and owned it most of its life and it never once saw snow (claimed) but I have to say it has no major issues save for needing the Power window fixed so I'm as proud as can be to really be part of the C-Body club now. We made the trip all the way up to Iowa just to get it. Now the challenge is going to be driving it all the way back to TN (It's doing pretty great so far)

Yes I'll need that knowledge when something on her needs to be fixed! (And some random facts are always great to know) She came with the dealer brochures, original manual and a 1974 Chrysler Repair Manual set. I'll definitely be registering her for the local 'Cars and Coffee' here in Tennessee. If anyone has any info about these boats I'd love to learn more. I checked the VIN on the Imperial club site for fun too. It's original Detroit steel for sure. Assembled at Jefferson Avenue Assembly Plant.

Thanks! It's one of the only triple black 1974 models I've seen so far. Most of the other Black Imps looked to be equipped with champagne interior. Either way it's going to be pampered!

Thanks! Pretty sure it's about 20 feet (probably more like 18/19). I read that the length was around 231 Inches (Hopefully I read that right)

Did some more research on her and I found this! Apparently it was part of the Grant J. Quam car collection at one point. I do know that the seller's father purchased it when it went up for auction later in 2015.

(One not so great thing is that she did die on me while I was driving but I managed to pull over and get it started up again by letting it sit for a while. Might need to take it in to get looked at when we reach IL - the in between point. Let the maintenance and fixes begin )

Well, if you haven't found out yet.....

You might want to study up on ATC and start hunting down rear disc brake parts.

All 74-75 Imp's have ATC and rear disc brakes. Pretty hard to find the rear brake parts. Hopefully your ATC is working. ATC can be a bear to get working. There's a couple of guys on FCBO that can assist in getting that working.

As far as I'm seeing/feeling the brakes are good (for now) They were replaced by the seller's father from what I was told. When it was up for auction in 2015 the brakes were non-functioning so I'm assuming they'll be good for the time being (fingers crossed) thank you for the information! I did read that the 1974 Imperials were one of the only vehicles (aside from the Corvette) to have four-wheel disc brakes in their time.
