the love hate relationship started today, I cleaned out the trunk and interior here's what I found
Pulled the front carpet out
The carpet was a indoor house carpet they even used house padding under it.i found that the drivers side floor pan is in poor shape will need to replace
Pass side not bad

I just spoke to c2c fabrications about replacement floor pans and the advised me that they do not have them for the 880 but DO HAVE pans and trunk floor and extensions for the 62 Newport
What I have read is the 62 880 is a 61 dodge nose on a 62 Newport so the parts should fit???? Can anybody confirm that?
The parts were cheap
Floor pans about 65 bucks
Trunk floor 199

I pulled the hood off the car today it's a rusted mess
It was so bad that the bolts were rusted so bad that there was no threads in the middle of the bolts

Ordered front floor pans
Got the 440 running on the engine stand early in the week
It started pretty good turns out the radiator has holes in it .
I spoke with 727 specialists this week he can build my 62 trans to work with later model 440 and push button trans but after discussion I have decided to go with later model 727 with a floor shifter.
i am going to use later model rear with emergeny brake
I need to know if anyone makes or has made a bracket to mount the lager transmission into the 62. 880

I also would like some feedback on ESPO springs I spoke with them for rear springs
Last request today it what shocks seem to work best in c bodies
I lied who sells a front end rebuild kit for 1962 880

I took these seats out of a 64 New Yorker . I also took the inside seat reinforcements and they fit my 64 880 floor pan with no problem , if that helps at all?

Finally back on car after a bad burn on hand
Pulled all components of engine
Removed exhaust seats rugs all clips from sides shocks
Getting everything out of way to start work

Hey man I no it’s probably to late but I put a 62 880 on my 61 ,bonnet and front,boot lid was 100mm to long ,rear screen I think is the same and I’m pretty sure front is as well ,get dodge interchange book save lots of time

The 62 880 was put together by matting the 1961 polara nose onto a 1962 newport body
Still looking for a hood, hinges and trunk lid have not found anything close enough to buy and pick up in tx

I did see that post but I am not sure that I am going to put the side molding back yet. I need 1rocker molding and the molding on top of pass door by window
What other things do you have?
I need a set of hood hinges, trunk lid,hood, tail light lenses for now,I am sure the list will grow as I get deeper
