Probably my favorite option for Imperials. I finally got the sequential turn signals working on my '69 coupe. I absolutely love them and the idea that car guys and engineers used to run car companies instead of lawyers and bean counters.

Wow. I wasn't aware that it was a true mechanism operating the lights !
I thought it was a primitive electronic system.

Kudos for not taking the cheap way (with the newer digital systems), which blink too fast anyway. GREAT that you were able to get the original mechanism working again. THANKS for posting this. Always thought it would look good on a '67-'68 Imp also........

Did you rebuild it or buy some NOS pieces to make it work? That is a worthy achievement.

Those sequential tail lights really add a coolness factor to the Imperial. Thanks for posting the video of the actual mechanism, I'm sure most of us have never seen that in action. I know that '69 was the only year that Chrysler used sequentials and only on the Imperial, but you mention it was an option. Was it an option? I thought it was standard equipment.

I believe it was standard, I guess I should have used the word "characteristic", lol.

For the last 15 years or so my '67 has had sequential tail lights..
Works on turn signals and also on brake lights.
The larger lights of the '67 make it look wayy c00l...

I bought the units from a guy in Mayfield Ohio a few years ago.
Basically each side get a unit that is smaller than a cigarette pack..
The power wire from car goes to unit and there are three wires that
come out. Cut the power wire to each bulb ..
Should anyone later on wishes to convert back to stock it is a simple
thing to do.

Good to know - what set up did you use for it?

here is what is involved in the OEM setup:

I have these in my inventory:
2926496 SEQUENTIAL T/SIGNAL HAZARD FEED RELAY (with 3 1/8 INCH MOUNTING BRKT)
2629497 SEQUENTIAL T/SIGNAL OUTAGE RELAY ( 4 TERMINALS with 1.25 INCH MTG BRKT)
2926499 SEQUENTIAL T/SIGNAL RELAY ( / PINK & BLUE CENTER WIRES)
2926777 SEQUENTIAL T/SIGNAL HAZARD RELAY (/2 LOOPED CONNECTOR WIRES)

not in my inventory:

2926498 SEQUENTIAL T/SIGNAL MOTOR/SWITCH supersedes to 2926747
2947289 SEQUENTIAL T/SIGNAL FLASHER TURN SIGNAL OVER RIDE RELAY

PRETTY SIMPLE HUH?

no it isn't: 6 parts involved

anything in ( ) is my description of the part & not in the part book... just so I could differentiate
the parts by a physical description

I wonder if that could be wired in to a 70 Polara or my 71 Monaco....

If they have 3 lights per side, you could order an electronic wiring harness to do it.

Megawattkid, please post more and show the whole car!

I learned something new today. Even tho' the Imps are not at the top of my "covet List", they are still among Mothers Beautiful Iron. The knowledge on this site never ceases to amaze or disappoint me. I alwayz thought the sequential T-lite thing started life in the 1st generation Cougars. Who knew? Thank You, Jer
