For sale in Florida, asking $8,999. Not mine, what are your thoughts on the asking price?

Needs paint, can't tell if the chrome is dirty or corroded, no photos of interior, top or engine bay. First glance says it is over priced.
But need more info.

Wow. All that car for less than the price of a used corolla. How much are one way tickets to Florida???? Love that thing !!!!

Did you ever go look at that Imperial or did you give up on it?
Had a few texts with the owner, but when I asked for address he didn't reply and did not pick up the phone either. I think it has been for sale for a while. I'm of the opinion that l would rather pay more for a more complete car, or one with a known history.

In addition to what's already been mentioned (paint, chrome), I see a couple of things -- buckets and white interior (should increase value), dual exhaust (good -- N-code, T-code?), left fender repeater missing (bad -- sign of neglect?), weird position of the windows (is some of the weatherstripping missing?).

Can you post the tag and more pictures (inside, engine bay, trunk)?

Edit: AFAIK, on a '70 Newport, the dual exhausts (if original) should suggest an N-code car.
