Recently I found 1968 fury, kind a like barn find deal. It's all there, and has paperwork.

Here in Japan, it is very uncommon car , and I would like to know where to find parts.

Cuda, GTX, challenger, coronet ( B and E body )parts are not very hard to find, but I don't see many C-body aftermarket parts.

help me out please.

Thanks

My most interest is that which parts do they share with B-body.

Welcome and Howdy! Usually, powertrain parts will be shared, but can be specific to particular body platforms and model years. Chassis parts are generally platform-specific. Of course, soft trim parts and weatherstrips would be platform-specific too.

What sort of parts are you concerned with? Just curious.

Welcome and congratulations on your find. Please post some photos.

I have been owned and collected parts for '68 Furys since the early 1990's so I or other members of this forum may have what you need. Some trim parts are impossible to find.

Post a parts wanted list under the MOPAR PARTS WANTED Forum category.

dash, gauge, convertible frame, convertible top, center console, seat form, and seat cover.
AND most interior parts needs to be replaced.

original 383 V8 4spd car, and interesting thing is that the car is registered here in JAPAN in 1969( took a year to come here ). Last inspection is 2000, I found out that center console is missing for some reason.

as far as I know, it got 383 4bbl 4spd and 8-3/4 rear end . Since it 's been sitting long time, motor didn't start but I could turn the motor by hand and felt compression, so I'm guessing that the motor is not killed.

here is somepics. I looked floor, trunk and frame, they needs some attention but not rusted out. I don't think I have to replace floor pan, I'm going to patch the holes.

What dash and interior parts do you need?

I can't help on the convertible top frame. The center consoles are out there - check eBay and are also being reproduced so you should not have any trouble find those. Seat foam is not available. An upholstery shop will need to make it. Seat covers are available from Legendary. Recommend buying them from Dante's.

I see that it is a Sport Fury and is also missing the lower trim strip on the trunk lid and needs a trunk lid and a hood.

That is going to be a big restoration project.

since the VIN is PH27--- I think it is SPORT FURY. Anyway, I do not know much about FURY, what's the difference between FURY III and SPORT FURY ?

Yes, it is a Sport Fury. The difference is primarily in trim. The Sport Fury got bucket seats whereas the Fury III had a bench seat. The Fury III had a molding down the side whereas the Sport Fury had a stripe (3 pin stripes grouped together) that is being reproduced. The Sport Fury also had the additional trim on the trunk lid and around the tail lamps.

My dash is cracked so it has to be replaced or re-finished ( if such thing is possibly done ).

gauge doesn't seem to be working interior molding , seat related parts are badly damaged because of humidity ( it rusted or pitted out )

talking about engine hood, are they same between sport fury , fury and fury III ?

In Japan, it is next to impossible to find these odd car's parts.

Sorry to say but by those pictures did the tsunami wash this up too your front yard?
That's a drive train & small parts car at best, hope someone paid you to remove it.

(edit) chrome appears pretty good ona the rear bumper, don't know how that survived compared to the trunk.

NO, it is left hand drive car, I don't think Chrysler made right hand drive car , exceptions are, Australian Chrysler products, they are still Chrysler, yet those cars are really odd ball.

This is NOT a water damaged car, car rolls and most parts are there, sure it is long way, but with your helps, I'm sure I can make the car road worthy. either way, this car is something special to me.

There are 2 different companies that will restore the dash pad. The plastic seat backs and side pieces are being reproduced and are on eBay, seat tracks interchange with multiple years and yes, the hood is the same on all 68 Fury models but the trunk lid is specific to Sport Furys and VIP models.

That peeling paint with the white under showing leads me to believe it's a bondo bucket and if you dip the body I'll bet'cha you'll have nothing much left. But it is a 4sd vert soooo...

Are hood scoop available anywhere ? Not originally came with my car, but cool thing to add.

Welcome to the site from the Motor City! You have a loooong way to go before you should worry about hoodscoops imo..
I’d get it somewhere where you can get it taken apart, get everything bagged and tagged and get an inventory together of everything you’ll need so you can start writing checks.
Neat car!
Any interior pics? Fender tag?
