I finished building my 69 fury dash Tach today

Great looking tach.... I'm installing the dash on my 69 sport fury now and also restoring a 69 Polara 500... is there any chance your going to produce a few for sale? Thanks, Dave
I'm just selling the graphics to install over the clock face , its a 2 piece graphic first the black backing goes on the clock face then the white numbers go on to the black backing . I'm not at this time building the entire tach conversion. I just don't have the time. I've never been so busy at work these days .

@Welder guy got the sticker done now just gotta find a RPM guage to fit the clock housing. And get it ready to go in my 70 wagon.

How was The install of the decal on the clock face ? It’s good to have a steady hand. If you can find a tack like the 2” one I used, the new needle fits on to its shaft nicely. The 2 1/2 tach I first had didn’t work nearly as well. Check eBay for them !

It wasn't to bad just took my time making sure to line everything up nice. The material used is awesome i got lucky and had a spare cluster without a clock so there is no hole to fill in. I'll be searching around for a small tac thanks for the help again.

Hey the bezel with no clock adjustment hole is the perfect choice for the tach conversion ,It looks perfect ! I’m going to have to keep my eye out for one of those now. Keep me up dated with pictures.

If you want the yard I'm going to soon has a few 69s want me to see if i can find a 69 without a clock for you?

Well finally I’m installing the the tach . I thought what the hell let’s install the 8 track as well ,That part is easy ,, it will be in combination with a modern pioneer System . what’s coming next Will probably upset a few people. I’m going with a custom auto sound dual voice coil 4x10 in the dash with a 6x9 dual voice coil custom auto sound speaker in the back seat . I’m fitting the left and right dash speakers with a couple of new 4” speakers in the dash . The trunk has a small 10 inch sub and I have 6” 2 ways in the front kick panels ( no there not the original panels, I still have those ! ) . I have always loved my music , Roy Orbison on a hot August night at a drive-in was always a winner for me . Here are a few pictures , i’m about halfway through installation . The more modern pioneer deck is going into the glove box .

The plastic backseat cover Thing ( i’m not sure the name but moparts reproduces it ) was very brittle . This is what I ended up doing.

The hard black plastic upper backseat cover was very brittle and it was in very bad shape on my car so I just trimmed off the broken pieces and went with a home made speaker cover for the back . I tried to keep it as clean looking as I could . I realize moparts sells the cover but I haven’t ordered one yet .

I guess I should mention the dual voice coil speakers allow me to have both left and right stereo Into 1 speaker . This works quite well with These old cars. I just want good tunes , I don’t need the neighbours to listen to my music . Unless they really want to

Here’s a couple of pictures of the kick panel speakers . ( these are not the original panels I have been using a couple from a parts car )

I cleaned up the dash bezel parts And polished out all the cloudiness and scratches from the clear speedometer and tachometer lenses with and optical grade rubbing compound . I used A MOLOTOW liquid chrome Marker for the chrome detailing around the switches , speedometer and tachometer edging . This stuff was damn expensive but looks good!! It works well for detailing small chrome plastic parts . The next step is to have the clock adjust hole filled in by a friend of mine that owns an automotive vinyl / plastic restoration shop . That man does wonders with grills , dash bezels and interior parts .

Nice detail work Marlow, I use a silver paint pen from hobby lobby, sorry don't have a C dash to show, but I do have a B dash bezel and just did the pick up bezel as well (no pic)

Can you give a quick run down of how the dash comes apart ? On a B body, you need to pull the windshield in order to access the screws, which, you've obviously not had to do.

Thanks
