AMC center domes...but nobody can tell at 60 MPH. She'll look grand.

Went with a friend to go buy a Pontiac in Wilmington. I didn’t realize we’d stumble upon a show. @BIGBARNEYCARS Why didn’t you let me know!
Happened to be a ‘69 300 there. Also a ‘68 300 convertible, TNT, The owner purchased it brand new. There was a few other interesting Mopars. ‘70 Challenger, ‘71 Cuda, lots of Road Runners

@BLUPORT @BIGBARNEYCARS Apparently on March 30th there is a Mopar show going on @ the battleship if you guys are around
I had no clue Greer. Ah hell DAH? Every 1st Saturday of the month (year round) CARS & COFFEE At 17th and Independence, Parking in the N.W. corner of the Theater Complex. I know about the Car Show at the Battleship on March 30th as it is hosted by the PORT CITY MOPARS which I'm a part of. We normally put that show on in late September every year, but with Wilmington on course to setting a 150 YO rain record in 2018, az the date drew close we had to cancel because the Battleship parking lot was under water in September and then Florence hit and dumped another 25"s on us. The meet on the 30th of this month is the rescheduled 2018 meet and because of the delay this meet will be a two year in one year meet in Saturday March 30th 2019... BTW, THIS IZ AN ALL MAKE CAR SHOW so you'll see everything there, Jer

Sounds like itll be interesting. Will you be around? Maybe I'll get to see the project you've been telling me about.

Oof - had a drive in pretty decent rainfall. Theres a small drip from the top right pillar, right under the headliner/sun visor mount area. Looks like i wont be leaving her out in the rain much anymore. I'm itching to see what the rust is like under this top.

Which brings me to my question - for the rear window panel, if i want to plug in a whole new channel, left to right, what am i limited to? Is it only '69-71 Chryslers? Will a 2 door work or only 4 doors? I've found a good '72 NYer 2Door Donor, but just curious about plug and play fitment.

Call me and we'll hook up I think you have my cell#. If not let me know and I'll PM it to you. ... BTW, the project will not be at the show but that doesn't mean you can't stop by to rub and drool on it, lol Jer

I received a quote from TTI to get a dual exhaust made for the car, manifold back. Just need to find a good shop that I can get it installed at
Ronnie's Muffler on Bell Fork, or his Brother William's Muffler on Onslow Pines. I don't trust anyone else in the area to do pipes.

That gives me 22 days to get a LOT of work done, not sure I'll make it, but I'll try.

What all still needs to be done? Even if you can’t make it with Blu - you can always still come down with your daily driver. I’m sure there’ll be some good things to see.

I tried calling Ronnie’s a few weeks ago but never got a response. I thought I found a place to hang my pipes and tack weld. They have my Fury right now and doing work on it - but after some not legit practices I’m going to part ways. I’ll have to try and swing by or call Ronnie’s again

To be ready for a Wilmington trip, valve cover gaskets, mostly, but I'd like to get the radio part done, and the vacuum advance squared away too. As for Ronnie's, just stop by, he never answers the phone anymore.

Blueport. If you're coming to Wilmington for rocker cover gasketz, I'd suggest you let your fingerz do the walking and your Visa do the talking and watch your mail box. Web search "realgaskets.com " in Tennessee and follow their instructionz for the install. Check with "CATNIP" = JEFF down in Orlando if you want an outside opinion. I made a believer out of him ah few yearz ago. AH few bucks more then Fer-Pro but worth every penny and more, IMHO. Hook up with Greer when you come down for that show at the Battleship. I keep Coke in the fridge for Greer, but theirz also cold St. Pauli Lager in there if you're interested, Jer

I have the gaskets, I just have to put them on before I drive to Wilmington.

So I visited my friend this weekend, he’s actually the guy I bought Scarlett from! He’s been parting out 2 66 Chargers and I was able to score some crack free arm rests and a console for the Fury. This guy has 6 68-70 Chargers behind his shed! Hasn’t always been a Mopar guy but he’s changing his ways.

Anyways - we get to talking. And he starts telling me how he regrets selling me the NYer because of how original and clean it was. Then he tells me there’s actually a C-Body in his neighborhood a few streets down that’s the color as mine. That it’s a vinyl top and even a 4 door hardtop. He said it might be a 70/71 Fury. Or maybe even a Chrysler he wasn’t sure. He’s left multiple cards at the owners home and has knocked for months but has never got an answer. I hear this and am like “hop in the car, let’s go!”

We start driving and round the corner and I see it from all the way down the street. I got exciting thanking it could of been M9 Deep Plum but it was the lighting at first.

This thing was cool. We were eyeing it up at first and the owners next door neighbor came out and talked to us. The car was owned by an older woman.

Unfortunately this car and she has 2 other early 50s Plymouth’s got flooded in Hurricane Florence. I mean hell you can see how close the water is in the picture. The water got up to then cars roof and was completely underwater at one point for more than 24 hours. You can see all the debris, wood, and carnage in every crack of the engine bay, interior etc. My friend told me it had gotten ruffed up in the storm but I didn’t think to this extent. That 440 and trans are done.

I grabbed a fender tag shot for you boys.

It’s such a shame. The areas around the roof are clean, vinyl top doesn’t have much bubbling. All the body points are clean. Before the storm I wouldn’t be surprised if every panel on this car was straight.

Has cool options too. Buckets, cruise control, etc. I left my card at her door so we will see.

No buckets, but a 50/50 divided bench seat (standard cloth/leather/vinyl), which is taken from either a 71 or a 72-73 Imp regarding to those buttons. 71 This 69 LeBaron is a sad sight for sure.

I know a guy in Richlands that would love to blast and powdercoat those wheels...
