What Do You Like/Or Dislike About Carlisle?

That's another reason I'm staying in Mechanicsburg. Short little ride on the highway to get away from the huge crowd at the show and to be able to walk in to a nice restaurant and get a table immediately and eat in peace and quiet.

Seems like the Mopar people at the hotels in Mechanicburg are pretty decent at night too. Not having drunken out of control parties or doing burnout contests in the parking lot. Then again I have Artillery ears......a nuke strike wouldn't wake me up.

All the conventions i goto there's always wild parties

The hotels I stay at don't allow it.

All the freedoms and rights you fought for and the motel you stay at Forbids burnouts....

I've been staying over at the Chrysler event at Carlisle for a long long time. I don't like the motels where the night life is crickets.

This is what I want in a motel while at a car event .NOTHING like the Red Roof during the good old days at the Mopar Nationals

Brice is a ghost town at night. Like watching the traffic go by the road at the closest mall. Buckeye lake has become the new "spot" but it is a traffic hassle. The Red Roof was craziness, miss it in a way.

Oh I know all to well how it died. I was there in 2002 and 2003 . I had heard the following year they had police helicopters there and shut the whole thing down. I admit it was extreme. They even had a hose out for a burnout pit . There were three burnout spots on the Red Roof grounds the years I was there.

Only at the beer storez in town. Pa iz ah some what weird state for any package booze. On the groundz it'z only BYO. That'z why I bring my St. Pauli from N.C., and it ain't easy to find in Wilmington, SHISH

They had a beer garden last year sponsored by the brewery right outside - Desperate Times. And Market Cross pub had a stall selling food cocktails and wine. Didn't try that. Close to the fairgrounds is Market Cross pub, Burds Nest Brewing (new) and Molley Pitcher Brewing with outdoor seating. Get a double walled growler and its stays cold most of the day without ice.

If my memory iz workin' Dave, The Nazis in INDY are why the Scat Pack left there and returned to Reynoldsburg. But it'z ah some what more reserved attitude when their iz no 1320' too me thinkest? 'Course Carlisle makes the Nats look like Tuesday nites at Wendy's by comparison also lol, Jer
