Scarlett the New Yorker

I need 2 sets of wheels blasted and powder coated. These and my roads wheels. If the price is fair I’d be interested
This is the guy who is going to do my valve covers and air cleaner housing.

You can PM him and tell him what you need done, in what color, and he can give you a good ballpark price, as well as turnaround time. (Which is surprisingly quick)

When I put on the tires and wheels I want a full brake job. I can source most ever part except for the Front brake drums. What options do I have guys? I guess I’ll have to take the old drums to see if they still enough thickness to mill them. If not, any ideas?

I personally don’t have $600 to spend on a NOS set of 11x3 drums and as far as I know, I don’t think anyone is reproducing them.

Sad thing. I knew someday I’d have to learn how to use that bumper jack in the trunk. Luckily an old timer motorcycle sheriff stopped by and showed me a few tricks. This cars about 30 years before my time

I'd love an opportunity to earn your business! :D My shop has nearly 3,000 FaceBook fans and celebrates its 13th anniversary on May 31. Feel free to get in touch after you check out the work.

I've finally decided to stop being lazy and since the weathers nice, why not.

Out came the old crusty plugs. Replaced them with Champion 10's. Installed a Accel Super Coil 8140 and for wires chose Taylor Street Thunder series. New cap and rotor, points and condenser. Oil change and filter change.

Also ordered the Cooper Trendsetter series white walls in 235/75/15R. Unfortunately I wanted to sandblast and powder coat the wheels before installation but oh well, project for another time. They should be mounted and aligned this weekend.

A few weeks ago ordered a TTI exhaust system, manifold back from Mancini Racing. Came in the mail extremely fast, packed nicely and with no real glaring issues.
I've finally found a place I've entrusted to hang the exhaust. I've opted for a tac weld at all the connections. Will report back on Monday or so when they get to the car.

Welp my confidence in the shop is fleeting.

When I’m going in, talking to the exhaust specialist, how I want the exhaust hanged etc, he mentions that of course, to make sure the pipes are correct, as some aren’t built to fit the car, I mention that it’s a TTI exhaust and he looks at me puzzled saying

“Who? I’ve never heard of them.”
“Their one of the market leaders, right there with Dynomax, Walker, Waldron etc”
*blank stare*
That’s #1

Then yesterday while I’m at work I get a call from the shop asking if I wanted the white walls on the tires to be facing out, or if I wanted them facing in and hidden, and that apparently the guys in the garage weren’t exactly sure and were a little confused.
That’s #2

Now I get a call this afternoon from the show saying that, they don’t know where to route it, and a host of other things. So it looks like I have to go down there and get hands on with a job I’m paying someone to do

Now I get a call this afternoon from the show saying that the flanges are the wrong size, the hangers are incorrect, the pipes are bent incorrectly, they don’t know where to route it, and a host of other things. So it looks like I have to go down there and get hands on with a job I’m paying someone to do
