I didn't even realize they made a 4 door sedan version of the Adventurer series, but at least this one has the big back glass:

Desoto

Asking price $22,000

More photos of the interior would be nice. Has claimed 61K miles which also seems believeable.

Nice car. There's a '61 DeSoto for sale here in our town:

Regarding the 1961 Desotos, while that one is in nice shape too, I believe Chrysler should have saved their retooling money and not even bothered with a 1961 version. I personally thought they just uglified them, both the front end and the rear fins. At least they only were in production for a portion of the 1961 model year before being discontinued forever.

I used to think that the '61 DeSoto front end looked a bit weird, but after having seen this one in the metal, I've changed my opinion, it's certainly unique, in a good way.

From the sales brochure.:)

Maybe I missed that they made a sedan because the brochure car looks like a hardtop at first glance, especially looking at the front of the rear window area. The back of the front door window area looks like sedan though. Probably because of the darker red color, I thought the car was a hardtop even though the description is "sedan". Thanks Matt!

It is certainly one of the better executed sedans!

Here is another Desoto for sale that is in very nice condition, but this one is at Copart!! Some older person must have passed away and his kids just wanted the old car sent off to the junkyard. Boy, I hope they will be sorry at the price this one brings I hope! Equipped with a fairly rare factory a/c system too. If I were only younger and needed another car....................................
A couple other guys on this site also like these models................
