Hi all,
I took the 68 fury for inspection and the guy told me to put the side marker lights on and make them work. How do you change the front light bulbs without breaking the socket?

Soak them with a good penetrating oil and use a good pair of channel lock pliers. The longer you can soak them the penetrating oil will have more time to work. Patience is required. Good luck.

You do know they aren't on with the headlights, don't you? Only illuminate in the 'park' position.

I know but I don’t know why the guy is making such a big deal about them. I’ve been driving a 68 fury for 28 years now and nobody has said anything about those marker lights. I got the socket out of one without damaging the housing but I think I need new sockets.

The post is about side marker lights, not the parking lights in the grille.

Those lamps ground through the mounting nuts and sometimes it is hard to get a good ground. Run a jumper wire to ground from the nut and see if they work.
