My wife said something to me one day that was very profound and that was
" I don't want to be the reason why the kids stay in New Jersey".
That statement has a lot of thought and consequences to various people behind it.

We have good friends in Boise that we visit regularly. It seems a nice little city. Reminds me of Phoenix 40 years ago (without the heat) when we first moved there. And like Phoenix was it is growing rapidly. Traffic on city streets is getting bad up there due to the lack of freeways. The summer can get pretty warm with temps in the upper 90's, at least when I go up there to escape the heat here. Our friends moved there from PA and love it but after living there for about 8 years are already bitching about the growth.

See, and they are migrators themselves. Imagine how the born and bred Idahoan feels.
The state will be destroyed in 25 years by human population . Most of which moved there to get away.

I believe that to be true . I also realize I will be one of those but on a much smaller scale ( interstate level).

Fratzog Fred posted a clip of VDH in the America thread. I've since then watched two dozen of his videos. A very intelligent , insightful , interesting speaker. I enjoy his lectures immensely . If I had teachers like him in my life I would have gotten a doctorate in something / anything instead of struggling to get through 12th grade.

Most all I know that are leaving are in search of what California once was which is what Idaho currently is. That's why it is appealing. If we move there it will be because it is different from where we came from.
