Would this 26" radiator be considered inboard or outboard on the upper hose?

Mopar used two configurations on 26" radiators, One with the outlet on the driver side and one with the outlet on the passenger side. Never heard them referred to as inboard or outboard.

Even the fsm refers to them as in or out. This isn't the original radiator for my car...it was replaced. I have swapped the yoke out for an ac car yoke so now it fits....but I want to ditch the flex hose that was used.

Those studs are for the shroud. Upper rad hose is on passenger side. Looks just like the one in my '68 Fury, 383 with A/C.

I was thinking the exact same thing: This looks exactly like my radiator set up in my 68 Sport Fury 383 with AC. In fact, although I don't claim to be any kind of expert, I have been around and interested in these cars since they were new and I don't recall ever seeing the radiator hoses any different than on this example.

So your just looking for a new hose?

Not to muddy the waters here, but could this be the reference of inboard/outboard? Yes, I know it's a different application, but you get the idea with the location of the inlet.

Upper hose for a B-block a/c car (passenger side of the tank outlet) is very similar to the one on the B/E-body 383s with a/c. Mostly the same contours. Might require a bit of shortening at the t/stat end, as I recall.

Personally, I'd term the upper picture, with the hose near the filler neck, as "center" rather than "inboard".

Those radiator pics are exactly what I meant. The upper one is inboard...lower pic is outboard. They had 22 26 and 28" radiators. Some inboard, some outboard depending on big block or small block. I want to make sure I get the correct upper hose for mine. The lowers were the same.

What engine is in your car? Also, which way does your t-stat point.

My 68 NYer with AC has the inlet on the passenger side. The t-stat points to the passenger side as well. Purchasing am upper hose was not a problem, but I had to buy 3 lowers to get one that would fit and then like someone else said I had to shorten it.

Rock Auto listing for 68.

Silly me mine points straight up too. At that rate one for a 68 NYer should do fine for the top. I guess the thing that could throw you off is if the distance from the radiator support tip the engine is different.

Small blocks and big blocks without AC had the top hose connection near center or closer to the driver side of the car. Big blocks with AC had the top connection where your picture indicates. Hemi's had the connection in the top passenger side corner for both air and no air applications. Btw, the yoke is generally refereed to as a core support. Note: when you buy new hose's most come with instruction to "cut to fit" and the bottom one is always a small problem because it needs to fit between the lower cross member and the oil filter without touching or rubbing on either. Be sure and use a wire in the bottom hose. It's a tight bend and wire will prevent collapsing the hose under acceleration. The top hose it straight forward and the 90 degree bend slips over the thermostat housing and then shorten the other end if needed to slip on the radiator. The Gates hose pictured above (25804), third one down in the picture, is used on big blocks with AC and Hemi motors ('66-'69) where the radiator connection is on the passenger side. Don A
