Baby boomer and gen-X "helicopter parents" and their associated PC culture in the name of not hurting anyone's feelings is my theory. A product of their raising.
Agreed, but let's talk about happy things, like the 4.10 rear gear I just picked up and can't wait to install this weekend. My fuel tank is going to hate me...
Are you suggesting that you will be intentionally offending your fuel tank (or more likely your wallet) ?
I am suggesting precisely that. Currently, my transmission and I are at an impasse and my first born rear gear occasionally gets caught in the middle through no fault of his own. Needless to say he gets bullied at car shows and red lights. We're hoping that given enough time, all of this maltreatment will make a man out of him. Toughen him up and show him the ways of the world.
Unfortunately, there is the off chance it goes the other way, he snaps an axle and joins Bernie Sander's team as a lobbyist.
Western Civilization has been gradually drifting toward anarchy with the junk philosophy of moral relativism, the “what’s right for you isn’t necessarily right for me” bullshit. Core beliefs of what’s right or wrong, acceptable or unacceptable, normal or abnormal are ignored or shunned because we’re not supposed to be judgemental. Its not politically correct to have certain opinions (unless you’re a liberal). Years of living with this line of thinking has made whole generations morally lazy, because it relieves a person of the burden of making choices or decisions that are sometimes difficult or unpleasant, and emotionally weak, because they’ve never been told “you’re not supposed to...”, or “that’s ridiculous”, rendering them unable to handle criticism.
I just turned 63 last monthHow old are you Old Mike? I am wondering if this is one of those instances where I am talking to myself in the future. I need to lay off the peyote..

Of course (cue the Twilight Zone theme). Cigar, Jack with ice and a splash...relax, contemplate the navel, ramble on forums, repeat.Do you happen to enjoy cigars and relaxing on porches too? This is getting bizarre...

Those will work tooOnly if there is no Single Malt or Small Batch Bourbon to go with that cigar.
