1956 Desoto Adventurer

if anyone is interested enough i am close enough to get good pics....just pm.

I think it's a bargain. One of the most beautiful and rare forward look cars.
I really love this car, and its at a price point where I could get into all kinds of trouble. But I have enough time and space issues as it is... I sure hope she gets a good home.

The driving experience, post #12.

Somebody IIRC corrected me and told me our old family car was a 1956 .. does the front end of this alleged '56 in the OP (not debating -- i just dont know the answer) look like my Dad's DeSoto (digital pic from a early 1960's family Super 8 movie)?

I am not on FB (jumped off that train one month after joining .. 10 years ago).

can someone who can see this care on Facebook PM a link that I can send to one of my kids to look up for me.

if this car is the "right one" (condition, serious seller, etc) , its gonna be in my "Fleet Storage" storage building within two weeks :)

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
That's a 1957 Firedome. The Firesweep was a completely different headlight treatment with a heavy brow. The Adventurers were all quad headlights, had fender guides, and no hood ornament. The Fireflites had fender guides that your dad's does not, making this a Firedome.

Good luck. My friend tried looking at it (he lives in the next town over) and the guy wouldn't send him a location to come see it. Kinda hard to view a car when you don't know where it is.

The one in your photo is a 1957...Probably a Firedome based on the presence of the hood jet and the absence of the fender top ornaments.
