We got early snowfall this year and they salted the hell out of the roads. Packed up and put into slumber.

You've heard of this place called Florida? Other than the palm trees, we have no salt on the roads nor do we have state income tax.

It does get a bit chilly in January--49 degree mornings, sometimes--which is perfect for working on cars or just going for a cruise.

In this pic my car is about 400 feet from the ocean, with the hidden headlights pointing towards that giant pool of salt water.

Nice but I’d honestly rather live up here.

If it was always nice outside I would never work on Goldie, I would just want to drive her.

I hate the salt but I still like the change of the seasons and even that four letter word snow. :)

Jake, this is what it looks to your westerly neighbor. Saw them put some juice concoction on the road... But, I haven't seen any salt trucks come out yet.

I saw a salt truck on my way in this morning so it looks like it’s over for the season for me although I did drive my ‘67 yesterday.

The counties and city's here are infatuated with "pre-treating" the roads and streets with a brine mixture of sodium chloride and water. The stuff is very corrosive. Vehicles don't stand a chance. Seems really hard on truck tailgates and boxes......

After seeing the forecast here I filled up the Fury, put in the additives and parked it for the winter. Another year gone by.

I parked the Newport just in time before the first flake fell. They get really carried away here with treating the roads so the stupid drivers don't go in the ditch, that I give in by Nov. 1st at the latest. This year it was October 20th!!
The 300 was down for service in early September.

I don't look forward to the winter months at all either. I hate the cold, there again I get cold really easy. The majority of the cars are put away for the season now unfortunately as well. That's the worst part of this season. The turquoise 4 door HT was the 1st to go into hibernation, then the blue 68 fast-top and the big 73 Custom Suburban wagon. The S/23 is now away. All that's left that's drive-able is the 67 wagon, convertible and purple 4 door sedan.

F#@& winter.
Getting my hernia surgery in January at least I will miss a little bit of this winter.
