GARLITS IN NOVEMBER

Camp is set, stop by... the only thing I can assure you is that I won't be sitting behind my car... other than that, I could be anywhere. But the cooler is by the popup, which is right next to the shithouse, so come on by FCBO folks.

Camp looks good!! Looks a bit nicer there than it does here. Kinda chilly and completely overcast this whole week.

Not looking good for us this weekend. I’ve caught a nasty cold this week. Ended up calling out of work today. Feel like poop... Not sure if we’ll be there tomorrow or not. See what the morning holds for us...

Home sweet Home!! I’ll be up in the morning. Have U seen any scooter rentals yet? It will save me from lugging mine up there...

Didn't run into anyone I expected to. It was a great weekend, with some rain Friday night. I have a few pics on my phone, but didn't bring a camera. Sorry for those who tried, but couldn't make it.

Was attendance down Jeff?

Only for the FCBO crowd. Will and I met a fella Friday, who lurks, but doesn't post much. Other than that IDK if anyone else was there or not. The show was a bit bigger, but that seems to have been mostly metric challengers. The swap was a little bigger too. The place has the room to grow, but they continue to struggle with how to use the big pavilion and how to define a C Body (1960 and newer :BangHead:)

Friday night's Cajun feast was the kick off of the event. Attendance was good, but I think it would really explode if they used Friday as a show day. It was really just a set up day for early vendors and the club members... and a few of us weirdos who show up early. Saturday was a nice show day, and this year they let it be peer judging. I think I was the only one with the car closed up and I didn't start a trend. They tried to put everyone under the awful lighting of the pavilion, and the later complaint of the clay/horseshit dust being abrasive to paint... I opted for a spot in the sun. Sunday was really a nice day too, the show was a little less crowded, but more folks parked outside the pavilion... still opening their hoods and trunks to be judged :realcrazy:.

I think the missed vending opportunity would have been to sell model metric challengers for those who didn't already have one to display under their open hood. If I tracked it correctly, I think 3 of 6 trophies went to actual C Bodies this year, and there were a few nice ones. I parked next to a young guy who saved his from a mossy backyard and was using it as a DD. I loved hearing that .
