The replacement booster i have for the Imperial is wrong!!! Wrong bolt pattern to the firewall, and wrong rod. Plus, the bad one in the car now is wrong, too!

I need to find the right one for the Imperial with the correct rod, and compatible with with a dual master for drums.

Need like right now! What have you got???

What year Imperial would also be helpful.

What? You're hinting that posters asking for help should list particulars of their car, either in their signature, or in their post? I got roundly criticized for suggesting such a horrible, authoritative thing, especially if their postage-stamp sized, crappy iPhone-pic of their car is their avatar. You're supposed to have eagle eyes AND accurately GUESS the make/model/year of their car.

I hereby brand Dave as an Internet Bully.

His avatar is an American flag.

The '66 Imperial used a Bendix dual diaphragm booster with the Budd disc brakes. For '66 this appears to be Imperial only. This is about the same unit used from '69-71 except that the mounting flange is a narrower pattern. Part number is 2409224 per the parts book. Might have to locate a core unit from a donor car and have it rebuilt.

These are from ‘64 with drums.

A brake booster. For a '66 Imp, I don't know what the original looks like
If you called booster Dewey today you could probably buy the extra core I sent them(1 of the 2 pictured).

I've got this one waiting to go on my 70, not sure what its bolt measurements are, could check tonight when I'm home.

"The '66 Imperial used a Bendix dual diaphragm booster with the Budd disc brakes."

No Budd Disc brakes on a '66 Imperial, '67 was the first year of the Budds on an Imperial.

You are correct, I did not look up to see if a caliper was listed for '66. The booster part number previously posted is correct however and it is the early style Bendix dual diaphragm unit.

I’m pretty sure disc brakes were an option for ‘66 so what would they have been if not Budd?

I am wondering if discs for Imperials became an option sometime during the '66 production run. The parts book I have for '66 does not show disc calipers or rotors for the Imperial, just the lesser models. The parts book I have is an early one so there may have been a later supplement to the parts list. In any case all the Imperials appear to to have used the same booster for '66.
