Carlisle 2020 Official Thread

Is there a thread here that points out where you guys who have vending spots will be?

As much as I agree with you, I'm not retired, or financially free, so I have to put the hammer down and make like the wind. I might be able to take back roads to a closer event like Volo, but Carlisle not so much. Being part of a caravan, it might not be quite so fast paced, but I don't think there will be many lazy stops. I'd sure like to take a couple more days to stop and smell the roses.

So when is said caravan leaving? Any details as of yet, Scotty?

Only if you're in a C body. :poke::poke::poke:

So what is the definition of modified?
C- body- 3 modifications or less and C-body modified 4 modifications or more.
What is considered a modification in this case? My assumption is mine would fit in the non modified class.

I put mine in the stock class - not much original on it except most of the body, although most all of it could have come on it from the factory. I figure very few folks will recognize anything amiss other than the wheels and the stereo and those hardly count.

Not sure when we're going to be leaving, wifegod has family that spent time nearby and lots of history to check out so we're either doing that before, after, or on either end - she hasn't informed me what the schedule is yet.

I would register in the stock C-body classes if you want to park with the FCBO gang. No one checks for mods or anything. I parked my metric Charger on the C-body line for awhile last year and nobody complained.

My wife isn’t sure if she is going or not. She is not looking forward to a 2-day trip with no A/C. If she goes I would probably take the Northern route. As it is new territory. If not I still may take it going, but express back. If she goes I may have to rent a car for her to go sightseeing. I don’t see her hanging out for 3 or 4 days at a car show. I would have to split some time.
We will see.

Just registered, figured I'd better get that out of the way. Hey Joey @Joeychgo , how come there's no option yet for FCBO as a recognized club?

Welp, fwiw Ill be leaving the Chi area around 4 on wednesday. I may be able to catch up with you guys somewheres in OH (?) Keep me posted.
I'll be on the side of the road dealing with some nonsense I'm sure. You'll be able to catch up in the NEWPORT. Dont even come if you are driving that European thing again :poke::poke::poke::lol::usflag:

Not registering in the Chrysler 300 non-letter class?

I just reserved a room at the Country Inn in Harrisburg West. Homewood Suites was full; no more rooms with 2 queen beds at least.

Checking on show preregistration, I see there is C-body Stock and C-body Modified (4+ modifications) classes. I plan to bring my '66 Windsor 2-door hardtop. I didn't see and additional info online about what counts as ONE modification. I presume I should register in the modified category? Engine (stroker), transmission (GVOD), brakes (1973 discs), suspension upgrades from Firm Feel, non-factory paint colour. I also have non-factory buckets and console interior, but they are year-correct.

It is heavily modified and the C Body Modified class is the most appropriate class.

We aren't camping this year as we recently sold our Motorhome. We have not yet cancelled our reservation at the Western Village RV Park in Carlisle if someone needs a space. We will get another motorhome someday but not before Carlisle. We are staying at the Super 8 (Carlisle South) near where Hoss's relocated to. They let dogs stay and it's tough to find a motel that allows pets.

I forget that some folks are actually showing their cars, mine gets on the show field only because then I don't have to walk as far. I'd really rather put a cover on it and hide it but I think that would be frowned on..........

Agree! I'll park in the regular C body class, don't think I'd have over four mods anyway. I can't read when it comes to stuff like that.
