Hello everyone,

I know Herb's is a popular resource for parts but I haven't used them yet. I've got about $1200 in a cart but I wanted to see if anyone has recommendations on what I may want to avoid before I pull the trigger. It seems that Herb's, to some extent, is a clearing house for several vendors.

Has anyone had any bad experiences?

Thanks

I've bought from Herbs at Carlisle, no problems. I thought however they sold the or were selling the business.

They did sell the business. They sold to AMS Obsolete parts in Georgia. I did have some problems with parts I ordered from them in the past, mainly a fuel tank, and an engine wire harness. Their catalogue at the time did not show the difference between Plymouth / Dodge, and Chrysler "C" bodies.

I have an engine wiring harness in my cart, I'll give them a call and/or take it out of my cart. Looking back at the description, it's too generic.

That was probably built by Bill Evans, probably. Google Evans wiring harness and get what you need.

The harness I ordered was for a Plymouth / Dodge, it only had the one wire for the temperature gauge, not the two wires for a Chrysler. I brought it to their attention about six years ago, they probably have not changed it after sending them pictures of both harnesses.

I need to get back to carlisle next year to talk with the vendors face to face.

If I'm remembering right Herbs wasn't there last year. Makes sense if Obsolete bought them .

A+ For Evans Wiring. Deal with them direct.
