1966 Dodge Polara Power drum brakes.

Inline tube shows a rear line (from block to hose) for standard but no power (out of stock) drums. The photo on the listing looks pretty much like the one on my car.

Is there really a difference? Even Mopar wouldn't do that! Or would they?

I want to order this for Miz Ruby if it will work.
Thanks!

Why order a line when you can easily fabricate your own?
Stay away from stainles steel brake lines!! They leak!!

From the block to the rear hose is easy to do.
Just remove the old line and copy the new one.

Hello cbarge!
Did you get your voltage reducer?
^^^^^ Those look like fuel tank vent lines to me. Nice job!

And yes, I ordered OEM type armored lines from my local store. But If I could place a one piece OE replacement in there, that's two or three joints I don't have to worry about leaking.

The brake lines listed are steel, not stainless. I wouldn't buy stainless lines. So the question remains...

Hi Leaburn
Do you happen to have a pattern that can be used to bend a set up?
Mine were pretty much non existent and a previous owner bent some crappie short lines for my Polara

Sorry I did not follow a "pattern"
Pretty much winged it with a tube bender trial and error. Plus lots of time studying the car and lines.
I also used my flaring tool kit on the brake lines and re used the fitting at the block. Kinda an oddball that one is.
If you are lucky the hold down clips and their holes along the rocker panels may still be there to use as a reference.
The clips are in repop and Nigel at National Moparts may have them.
I threaded the roll of brake line between the body and stub then flared the end for the block and ran the line along the rocker and to the flex hose. I bent everything up and finally flared the fitting for the rear hose.
Not 100% perfect but still very neat and tidy.
Hope this helps

Thanks, it does & will.
Since having the new tank installed, I notice a gas smell after a fill up and coming to a stop.
I know it's the vent lines being too short..

BTW, Is this a Carling Red Cap bottle cap?

Hi Leaburn,

Can you take a few pictures of the gas tank vent line routing on your Newport?

I am about to have the lines done on my Polara.
I found the photos of you having made a pair up but not sure where they route in the trunk of the car.
Tried to PM you but it won't allow me to...
Thanks,
Tom
