This 4-door Polara just sold near Minneapolis. It was posted on CL last Sunday. It has no rust, and I would have bought it -- based solely in the high-res pics the (now previous) owner emailed to me -- if a member had not publicly expressed his interest first. Hopefully the member is the one who bought DL41K2D238360.

For records, from the CL ad: "Very clean original car. Mostly original paint. Original bronze with black interior. A few rips in the original upholstery. A few cracks in the dash. Original carpet, headliner and door panels are nice. Original chrome is still very nice. Undercarriage is mint. Not a rusty Minnesota wreck. A few dings and dents and blemishes but overall great condition. Has been my summer driver the last several years. 360-4 barrel with 727 auto. Newer brakes front and rear. Engine was gone through last summer. Too much to list. Transmission professionally rebuilt. New dual exhaust professionally installed. Runs and drives great. I would drive it across country without hesitation. $5,000 OBO."

I didn't tell you but I was drooling over that car the day it was listed. Fighting the addiction is extremely difficult for a life long addict . These days I hope you purchase them all so I know where to find them should the time come.

Car needed a big block IMO.

got a 505 stump puller in my warehouse with this car's name on it.:)

I woulda grabbed this one on site .. i woulda "hurt" bad, and i couldnt keep it long given other stuff (buses and the like) i'm doin, but hopefully somebody here did get it.

seriously nice one and i woulda sported it as is.

For the record I was the interested party. And no I didn't get it and now beating myself about for it. Due to my work schedule I needed to wait until Saturday afternoon to visually see that beautiful Polara. Then I to got the dreaded message.

So I guess the hunt goes on. Will I ever find my "copper head road" big block Dodge.

The seller told me this afternoon that somebody else from the Twin Cities area had bought the car, and that it will be “staying in Minnesota” and "be kept preserved." The buyer and seller plan to stay in contact -- should the buyer decide to resell, the seller told me that I would be informed. Time will tell!

No A/C.. And heater has been disconnected....
And as noted in above post,,,
Needs a big block...........................

I really like this one, base model no vinyl top, and I like GY9. This will be a lot of fun for the new owner. I hope we see more of this in the future. John Candy's ride was a 73 (but you guy's already knew that.)
