Many years ago, my step daughter took a line drive to the mouth while playing baseball. She was wearing braces, which probably kept all her teeth in. It did loosen them and the dentist described it as "turned to mush" and he just tightened up the braces and got all her teeth into the correct position. Took a couple years off having to wear them as the teeth were now in the desired position.

Her smile now is perfect, fitting in with the rest of my wife's family. They all have teeth that they refer to as "smiling like one of the Osmond family".

She got another line drive to the face late this summer after some years off the softball field. Fractured the orbital bone under her left eye and she's being watched for damage to her retina I told her she needs to start wearing a mask or learn to duck.

Good lord John. Yes she definitely needs to wear protection. Hope she’s gonna be ok with that eye. I’ve had to remove a few more tires since this incident & these old rusty beads & old stuff side walls are tough. I’ve had a couple more things were it hit hairy & I said you know what I better stop right here. Got my WD40 & a BFH out to help persuade it off with any danger of the tire tool wanting a rematch.
