I need the drive motor that rotates the headlight covers on a 68 Chrysler 300.
Does anyone have one for sale or know someone that can rebuild mine?

Thanks

There are two guys that rebuild them. (E-Mail) [email protected] does beautiful work. He is in Canada and shipping to him means filling out all of the import/export paperwork. Once you get past the paperwork, his work is restoration quality. A full rebuild of you motor with new gears will run about $260 US plus the shipping.

(E-Mail) [email protected] also rebuilds headlight motors. He is often hard to get a hold of as the travels the country doing car shows. Some members have not been happy with his work.

You might also try putting the number on the barrel of the motor on this site to see if anyone has a used one that works.

Usual problem seems to be a lack of lubrication in the bottom bearing of the motor. They aren't all that hard to take apart. Clean and grease the bottom bearing. Somewhere in the giant Imperial rebuild thread, there's some good pics.
