Don’t Cragars use some kind of special long shank lug? I remember them totally different from acorn type. You put washers under the head (think a bolts head) to adjust for height. I hated them on my 66 dart but they were the only guys that made a cool 14x7 for small bolt pattern that was readily...
This could’ve easily spiraled into a I pack like I’m heading over Donner Pass when going on a cruise thread LoL. I’ve noticed nobody carries jumper cables anymore....
Out of 30 to 40 cars on the Malibu cruise only we had cables to save the cuda.
This is a common problem with big cam automatic cars. With a stick car it’s clutch or neutral waiting out the light so no big deal. With an automatic car you just pop it in neutral or drive with two feet. One on the brakes the other artificially raising the idle with the gas pedal. Most of us...
This is what’s always looked normal to me. I’ve always thought only Volkswagens and horseless carriages should fold down above the well.
Big John’s convertible top Chrysler instructional film makes me NEVER want to have to adjust one.
My cylinders are not connected to the frame so that might...
These set ups got a pretty bad rep when all the parts dried up. I remember when you had to go to Art Pacheco in New Mexico just for basic service parts. We all dumped them and ran something else. Diehards like my brother ran them on the street with mixed (I almost always beat him) results.
If...
I ran 391’s in my AAR daily for 10 years. It was great from a dig and even with a flying leap it was unpassable when rolling. Back when fooling around on the street wouldn’t net you the death penalty we’d let them get even with the back bumper and then keep em there. Long trips like Phoenix to...
I’d say Stick with 323, 355s suck, they aren’t low or high gear but magically carry the bad habits of both. I don’t think I’d run 391s without an overdrive. They’re pretty hateful out on the highway. Be sure and report back how you liked the upgrade.
