73 newport gets crushed, hard to watch!

That rusty body still had some good chrome attached to it.

Yeah on second look, maybe to far gone. Definitely had some good parts on it though.

Too bad the frt disc brake parts did not get saved.
I agree the car was pretty rusty.
Testament to the torsion bar suspension that rebounded after the crussher lifted!

That was not hard to watch honestly.
But what was disturbing to watch was the destruction of the Turbine Cars.
Still practically new cars at the time, Chrysler did not want to pay the import fees on the Ghia built cars..so off to the crusher they went...

Sad to watch a c-body be destroyed. At least a good parts car.

I watched a documentary once about the turbine cars. It was said in there that many of the engineers watched them get crushed. Someone that was there told that they had never seen so many men cry at once.
